Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Review | Awesome Games

Adam from Awesome Games writes: "Prrrrruppphhhhhhh!”

“Huh…? What was that…? CP, come in CP, this is Zulu 7. I heard a suspicious noise just now, I’m gonna go check it out.”

“CP – understood. Don’t let your guard down. Out.”

“Roger that, CP.”

“Prrrrruppphhhhhhh!”

“CP, this is Zulu 7, come in CP!”

“CP here. What’s wrong, Zulu 7?!”

“I’m not sure. I’ve approached a room. It sounds like there’s a distressed elephant trumpeting inside. What should I do, CP?”

“Understood, Zulu 7. Proceed with caution. This elephant could be dangerous.”

“Roger that CP, proceeding with caution… (Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) 8/10

Glad to see it get a decent score. It's a very fun experience! I've gotten more than enough time out of it and I'm still not done playing it. XXXD

Like you, I am finding ways to get my monies worth. I have been enjoying the side ops on hard and messing with the AI. I can definitely see where peoples anguish is coming from though.

I think Konami will learn quickly from the backlash and not do it again.

That's the thing you shouldn't have to find ways to get your moneys worth.
Game was alright I guess.

I completely understand what you are saying. I completed MGS4 about 8 times, I shall do the same for everything here. And the quality is undeniably fantastic.

My first playthrough of Ground Zeroes took 60 minutes. So trust me when I say the experience had to fight the price point. And in this case (a rare one) the experience won out.

The AI, the visuals, the myriad ways to play, the production values. They are all top notch.

I picked it up for £22.99 by the way.

I'm sorry but "Finding ways to get my monies worth" sounds way to much like "finding ways to justify a $30 purchase for a two hour campaign".
Pintheshadows  +   490d ago
I don't need to justify my purchase. No one on here does.

Your doing something wrong if your still playing it. A 2 hour game is a 2 hour game. Dont care how many times you can convince your self to replay it. Game isnt worth admission and your only inviting bad policys into your gaming hobby by siding with this trash practice of selling demos for damn near the price of a full game. Such sheep. Bahhhh.

I apologize for having fun. I'll try to purchase games with no replay value to better appease you in the future.

I really enjoyed reading this review; it got the points of concern that many people have about the game, while explaining in a quite funny way why those points are overshadowed by the sheer quality of the game.

What a clever and well thought-out review!

All Im going to say is that the gameplay is AMAZING! but its really short, but still the gameplay is amazing and I cant wait for the phantom pain...

The Phantom Pain was my most anticipated title when it was announced, and after playing Ground Zeroes, that anticipation has only been strengthened. The gameplay, graphics, sound design, and basically everything about the game except for its relative shortness and reliance on replay value, are absolutely fantastic. It feels like the only possible evolution for the MGS series, and it definitely gives me hope for the future.

That's one of the best review I read about the game. Good job to the author for making it funny and interesting.

That means a lot! Thank you.

Still haven't got this yet. I'm holding out with the hope it will become free on PS+ and if not... Well there is always Youtube.
