The Last of Us for PS4 is Real According to Insider; PS4 Version Listed on GameStop Germany's System

A couple days ago during a show on CNN Turk, Market Manager at Sony Eurasia Sercan Sülün said that The Last of Us will be coming to PS4. Since then Sony has denied but not really denied, saying that they have “nothing to say” about it. In the meanwhile industry Insider Pete Dodd mentioned that the port is indeed real, and it has also been spotted in GameStop Germany's system.

someone really needs to ban the word insider. insiders always claim something after someone else says something about it first, that gives them the ability to deflect blame when they are wrong.

The only way that's going to happen is if N4G changes it's motto from N4G- Hottest Game News & Rumours, to just 'Game News'. Seeing as rumours make up a considerable amount of the front page....i don't see that happening any time soon.

Nope. You paid for a ps3 game, and that's what you got. It takes money and man power to recode a game for a new platform, so I don't see any reason why you feel entitled to the new version.

Bro, I understand what you're trying to say; I too have a high end pc. But you have to understand that Sony does not sell upgradable ps4 hardware. They sell: consoles, games, software and accessories. That's how they make money.

I'm wondering what has happened to this site because the majority of it's ''content'' now is rumors, speculation, what ifs, and stories based around twitter messages from Thuway, Mort, and others.

@wardestroyr: actually I invite you to check my posting history. The VAST majority is actual confirmed news. Unfortunately people seem to love rumors more, and those tend to be more visible here.

Edit: can disagree as much as you want. But numbers are numbers. Just in the most recent page of my submission history there are 16 news, 4 rumors, second page is 18 news, 2 rumors, and so forth. It's obvious where the majority is.

Your a good writer, and seem very adept at hunting out possible stories, but why don't you start writing features on top of reporting the rumors.

I don't, i just find it weird how often i see people say "N4G sucks" or "N4G is nothing but rumours"....yet they continue to post and stay here, despite there being gaming sites out there that aren't as "rumour centric". You just said that Dualshockers should "report about news - you know, actual confirmed news."...yet you know that N4G is where the "Hottest Game News & *Rumours*" are reported. It's just a little weird to see is all.

@wardestroyr: that's because I'm the news editor. I love writing features, but unfortunately my given role takes precedence, and since it normally takes between 12 and 14 hours of my daily time, the time for writing features is very scant. I do write some, but that's only when I'm not exhausted when I get at the end of the day :D

And at times I'd also like to dedicate a couple hours to playing some games :P

I've never wrote N4G sucks. I love this site - the amount of times I've almost cried from laughter reading the comments from ''supporters'' of each console is numbering quite high.

It's just that the proliferation of rumors has gone out of hand lately - I've been visiting N4G for a long time now, and I don't recall ever seeing so many rumors fly up and around the site - but is N4G, so you have to take it at face value.

In a nutshell, Abriael is good, I like Dualshockers, the rumors interest me as a gamer, but articles/features would be more welcome.

For example, with all the news about Sony with layoffs, studio restructuring etc you could write a nice article explaining what is going on, how the situation could be improved, and how the sky is not falling in. I know Mort commented, but that's not enough at this stage with many proclaiming the end is nigh for Sony Computer Entertainment.

I completely agree with the amount of rumour articles, i lurked here for years before i made an account and the percentage of rumour articles is much higher than it was. But yeah, grains of salt should be taken, and the nature of this website should be taken into account.

We should be talking about how amazing that PS4 version is going to look, what they are adding to it to make it unique to the PS4, and the fact that it might run at 60fps. I hope they bundle in Left Behind, cause I still haven't purchased it yet.
