Review: Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends (PlayStation 4) | Digitally Downloaded

Digitally Downloaded writes: "The first Dynasty Warriors on the PlayStation 4 isn't a main numbered Dynasty Warriors game. The Xtreme Legends subtitled games have traditionally acted as "expansion packs" for the main numbered Warriors games, in that they offer much more content without changing any of the fundamentals of the main game." (Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends, PS4) 4.5/5

Wow, that's a surprisingly good score! I've always seen the series as a 7/10 max - I haven't played any iterations for years to be fair, though, so great to hear if it's better now.

It always used to be mindless button-mashing fun, but I'd get bored due to repetitive combat. Looks like they've added much more variety on that front now. :)
