Gameaspect.com interviews Cubical Drift about their upcoming Voxel based space RPG -- Planets3.
Good luck to them. I like the direction they are taking with Planets Cubed, but I don't know if it does enough to shake of the Minecraft-wannabe tag. Maybe the Minecraft inspiration will actually be a detriment, as the game seems radically different from Vanilla Minecraft, but the first impression is that it's yet another clone / evolution.
I would have liked to have seen much more of this game in the news. They did a couple of interviews but I think if they had something playable and they had sent it to a number of outlets then you might have seen much more exposure. As a potential backer that would have made me feel confident that they were much more likely to reach their goals and have a comfortable amount to work with (they wanted 250k basic). Ultimately I just felt like they were very ambitious in how much they asked for and it made the investment seem riskier in a number of ways.
