Top 10 N64 Platformers

Slimgamer writes:

"Retro gaming has been a hot trend lately, and one of the most popular retro gaming consoles is the Nintendo 64. One of the things that made the N64 so great was it’s ability to expand the Platformer genre that had been confined to 2 dimensions. Let’s take a look at the top 10 platformers for the Nintendo 64." Mario 64 is probably my favorite game of all time.

I'm finally just getting around to playing Galaxy 1, and when I'm finished I bought Galaxy 2 to play that as well.

* Kind of un-related but how are the old Sly Cooper games? I wondering because the collection is releasing in may & looks appealing, but I never had a playstation so most of my 3D platformers were on N64.

I tried the first sly cooper game, and although the gameplay was good, I couldn't get past the voices. Sly's voice is fine, but the turtle and pink thing had the most annoying voices I've ever heard in my life. Just got too irritating. I suggest you look up some gameplay videos on youtube... and listen to those voices. They're also a bit more linear than the 3d platformers you've probably played.

Great list here!!

Happy to see Mystical Ninja as I think that it was a very great game which we have forgotten today. Great job, all great games!!

I'll say Zelda Ocarina of time should have been there as well at least No 2.

Cool list. Supermario 64 was magical during that era of gaming

I was thinking the same. I think I have to replay it after 16 years as I had missed some cats in the past which I couldnt take them. Apart from that, it was a so wonderful game with one of the best music....

I miss traditional, open world 3D platformers so much...
