Ubisoft lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem has confirmed that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been teased ever since Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
So was AC3.
You know what, I have never played an Assassins Creed game. I have no idea why. Am I missing out big time?
na , all you need is to buy the ezio trilogy (AC2 , brotherhood . revelations), those are the best AC games (AC4 is great too) you might get lost in the modern day story if you played those without the third one though
Yes. One of the best stories in recent times. Gameplay is often dodgy, but you can learn to deal with it to enjoy the games. EDIT: I reckon you should start with AC1 and play through them all. The story builds up across the canon games: AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations, AC3, AC4. If you skip AC1, you'll regret it when starting AC2 and Revelations in particular. All the DLC adds to the story as well.
"best stories", are we playing the same game here? The story is mediocre.
One of the best stories in recent times? I hope your joking. It started off well and showed promised but the later additions turned the story into some low budget B rated movie. It's nothing to rave about (this is coming from an Assassin's Creed fan)
if ur going to play the trilogy, might as well play all of them.
Play at least AC2 and AC4 (best two games in the franchise) and you'll be set gameplay wise. Watch the cutscenes for brotherhood and revelations on YouTube or read the AC wiki to catch up on the story. Then you're all set for what's to come :)
Honestly no, in order to get the most out of the story you would need to play pretty much all of the games yet the stale gameplay won't keep you interested for long. Also, in my opinion anyway, I find the entire plot weak as pretty much all of the missions just don't seem important, the only parts which seem kinda important are the modern day parts yet they're also coincidentally the most boring parts.
Sorry for the multiple replies, chrome crashed.
What yea ok totally missed those hints lol
Day 1...even though I swore never to get an AC on Day 1 again...
Ahahaha. I'm getting tired of this cash-cow
I'd agree with you if this was any other yearly franchise or 2 year cycle game. I think the Assassin's Creed franchise albeit not perfect is one of the best franchises out there that gets released every year or on a cycle. The first AC didn't impress me too much it bored the bejesus out of me, but AC2 was amazing, and the Ezio trilogy in all was really fantastic. ACIII the opening alone sold me, and the game play and scenarios were really great too. And finally with ACIV again not perfect, but is still far out there and great. I have to give the developers credit for being able to push a better game every year. for the past what, 5 years?
To be fair, I think Assassins Creed does pretty good for being an annualized cash-cow when you compare it to Call of Duty. At Least Ubisoft tries new things. Assassins Creed 4 was great, but the story was uninteresting. I spent more of the time doing pirate stuff. The Ezio trilogy was perfect because of the story. Both the present and past days stories were well executed. I really liked the concept of using the Animus to go back in time to find the Apple of eden to save the world in the present. Assassins Creed 4 got rid of that. Now, Assassins Creed seems to be all about Abstergo Ent. using people to record their descendants' memories to make movies? That's what I got from one of the AC4's files. Ridiculous
I'm not 100% but I believe a while ago they said that they had the next 5 games planned and being written or something. This was a while back so there's 1 or 2 more games after unity already planned. They just have to program them. But ya love this series. only game coming out yearly that i actually buy.
If true then AC4 should of took place in the French Revolution....why they wasted AC4's title on Black Flags I'll never know AC3 - American Revolution AC3: Black Flags - Spin off AC4 - French Revolution
You mean the 8th Assassins Creed was hinted by the creation of the 3rd game. Who would have known?
If you're wondering what they're talking about In the ending of AC:B when shawn was about to reveal the location and he and everyone else froze in space.
