Sony Reveals Asian PlayStation Plus Offerings for April Is a similar set will also offer European and American?

Asian PS+ is always different compared to US/EU counterparts. Although, i think Mercenary King could be the PS4 game for Asia/US/EU.

So far every PS4 game has appeared across regions, so Mercenary Kings could be the Plus game. It does release on April 1st (following the pattern of first Tuesday of the month freebies) and we know Dead Nation is gone next week, so it stands to reason the game will be added next week too (vastly limiting the number of choices).

hmmm.. Mercenary Kings looks fun I guess. Kind of a cross between Metal Slug and Contra.

Was hoping for Daylight to be the free game, but maybe they didn't want another horror themed game as the freebie.

Just seems a little light for this month as this game doesn't look to be particularly long.

Vita's offerings don't really interest me either.

Oh well, can't hit it out of the park every month. We will have to wait and see if this ends up being the same list of games for the NA region too.

It probably won't be. Asia and Japan have a long history of doing their own things that run against NA / EU.

Tokyo Jungle, Malicious Rebirth, Jacob Jones, Katamari, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, PJ Monsters Ultimate, Limbo, Do Not Fall are all current offerings we don't have (not including games not out in the US / EU) and When Vikings Attack, Guacamelee, Chaos Code, Ace Combat are some past ones we didn't get.

Out of everything listed here, we have a great chance at Mercenary King (for the reasons I mentioned in my other post) and Dynasty Warriors Next maybe (it's free in Europe right now). Beyond that, I would expect something better or at least different for both EU and NA.

yeah, you could very well be right.

I guess I was being a little greedy and hoping for something more than just Mercenary Kings on the PS4. Maybe we will get two free games, who knows.

That sounds extremely greedy, especially considering the number of games on the PlayStation 4. I mean, there are something like 27 total digital only games, which drops to like 17 after you exclude free to play games and then drops to like 8 when you remove cross-buy titles (maybe its me, but I assume many people would feel cheated if our one PlayStation 4 game was something like Escape Plan), which drops to 3 after you exclude Plus offerings. So you're basically left with Fez (won't happen), SteamWorld Dig (won't happen), Towerfall Ascension (won't happen), Awesomenauts Assemble! (won't happen), Basement Crawl (way too low in terms of MC score), AC Freedom Cry, Strider and of course, Mercenary Kings.

I can't say I'm thrilled at the prospect of merc king for ps4 next month. I think ps4 deserves something a bit meatier for a change. Outlast was good but a bit short. Dead nation was very short, I dunno, I just want something else, something bigger. No offence to anyone. It's just my opinion

I think the issue is, that it's likely the majority of ps4 owners have already played what's available for the ps4, so they want to keep giving them something new. I can understand wanting a AAA title, but there aren't many to give away yet. If they gave away AC4, everyone that has already played AC 4 would complain, same as BF4, Killzone, etc. The issue is, the majority of ps+ users, have likely already played, or own those games. I'm not disagreeing with your opinion, btw. I'd like to see bigger games eventually myself.

Yeah i know its tough for sony to keep everyone happy regarding free content, im just starting to get a little fatigued with these smaller games. Anyway, im sure this is all set to change in the not too distant future. But i still hope they step up the game sooner rather than later.

I'm really hoping the NA list is different. I just bought Sly Cooper a while back when it was on sale, and Sony said they were going to stop putting games in the IGC if they were part of a sale recently. Seems like they've done the opposite, because it's getting to be a lot more often now. They just did the exact same thing with Lone Survivor and Thomas Was Alone.

Man why do they say Mercenary Kings is a bad offering? Its a new indie title that mixes Metal Slug, Mega Man and Monster Hunter. Looks like a great 4 player online/local game to me.

Also I hope Sly Cooper makes it to US too

Maybe not porkchop,i bought Bioshock infinite for $10 at the end of nov and soul calibur 2 on sale in dec. But i would welcome sly cooper since i didn't buy it.

Why release said game 'free' via PS Plus when it is likely the majority of people will pay the RRP for what is - lets be brutally honest - a demo...welcome to 'next gen'. Besides, with the drought currently on PS4/Xbox One AND the MGS fanbase it was always going to this way.

Wow I can´t believe the complaints I´m reading here. Whether it´s Asia, EU or NA Sony is working real hard and imo very good to deliver free games and perks each month. I really don´t see any other console on the market doing this atm. smh

Yeah I commented in the thread about e.u possible update and and got told by someone that they pay 50$ a month so they have a right to complain. Which is fair I suppose but like you say What sony have done with playstation plus is massive and you cannot please everyone. Some months you win out with top goodies the next you might have one or two of the games on offer.

what really annoys me is the moaners think that Sony should personally satisfy their needs. you can read it in the replies.

Like I said in that thread, if you dont like it go buy the oppositions console.

Oh and I think or maybe wish Sony had realized that Driveclub was not ready before announcing it as a launch and plus game getting everyones hopes up.

I hope it is Mercenary Kings for US. It's one of the best looking (game play wise)games with local co op coming out any time soon, IMO. Those are few and far between now days. I was going to buy it on Steam yesterday because it was on sale, but decided to wait for the ps4 version.
