To be fair though I doubt any employee of any company would say.

"Meh maybe hold off buying our product right now it's not a great time to get it."

This is just standard PR talk, I expect Sony and Nintendo versions as well.

Lawboy23677d ago (Edited 3677d ago )

What person who has left sony since ps4 has come out and publicly said something like this

@ choujij

Lol...I'm just stating facts...the funny thing is why can't it be true because it's Microsoft....or would u rather it be the other way ard sony boasting about what's coming to ps4 and Microsoft being silent...everything is evil if Microsoft does it

choujij3677d ago

When it goes without saying, it doesn't need to be said.

Nero13143677d ago (Edited 3677d ago )

You can't be serious

kurruptor3677d ago

Ummm Jack?

"I want to thank the employees, partners and customers for their tireless commitment to the PlayStation brand and, of course, to our fans who have pushed us to new heights of innovation and entertainment over the past two decades," he said. "I leave PlayStation in a position of considerable strength and the future will only get brighter for PlayStation Nation.”

Docknoss3677d ago

Did anyone here see the leaked pictures of the new Dashboard update? Looks Amazing like a Sleek 360 Version. Can't wait for E3, i think all Xbox One owners are in for something Big. With MS minute time slot already filled.

Battlefieldlover3677d ago

Like you did with Abriel?

Lol. Sit down kid.

When would not have been a good time to have an XBOne, less than half a year after launch?

pompombrum3677d ago

Too true. Tbh, the X1 is a great console and I don't regret buying it now however if anyone asked me if I'd recommend getting one, I'd say wait six months. Still so many basic functionality elements missing that needs to be added.

Alan_Shore3677d ago

Bubble+ Sony, Ms, And nintendo are gonna say anything to make people buy there console's.

Truth is now is a great time to own any of those console's It's just that a REP of one of the console companys cant say "they all have there positives and are good to buy right now"

Blaze9293677d ago

"To be fair"

to be fair for what? Why must any good Xbox One news/quotes come with an explanation? This is saaad

UnholyLight3676d ago (Edited 3676d ago )

@TheLyonKing

Whether it's PR speak or not, I think he is right. The Xbox One may have had a rough start, but the future is bright. Xbox 360 showed just how much things can change from the beginning to it's end.

Xbox One will only take that idea to the next step, and the PS4 appears to be following the same "future proofing" concept.

While I agree with you, he still has a great point to make here. Apart from Forza, you haven't seen any of the Microsoft big guns flexing their muscles yet either. Titanfall is not, nor was it ever going to be, the killer game for the Xbox One. Not for one moment did I believe that!

The X1 is already very impressive on the functionality front. Its getting better and better with every update. Cant wait for E3, and all the new games. I love my X1.

christocolus3677d ago

Marc says all that has been revealed so far is just a tip of the iceberg so i wonder what else they have cooking up? Maybe the dayz dev has an idea afterall he claimed MS showed him some really amazing stuff recently..lol

LOGICWINS3677d ago

Still haven't played it yet. My cousin has one and he loves it. XB1 will have an amazing future if the price drops by $100 and MS manages to scoop up top tier devs for 1st party titles.

Automatic793677d ago (Edited 3677d ago )

I agree Gozer Xbox One has a good package right out the gate at this point with a great amount of titles that have already come out and what is to come. Xbox fitness is great and the online, services, games and functionality with the TV make this system really feel futuristic.

Note: Can't wait for E3

No_Limit3677d ago (Edited 3677d ago )

I love my XB1 too after gotten it 2 months ago. Amazing system and you can even update the controller..how awesome is that!? Can't wait for the games reveal at E3.

"So much for us was around, 'Hey, let's build this architecture that we could rev quickly, that we could add to, that was flexible, that would allow us to do more things and do more things quickly,'" he said.

Improve quickly is correct. They improve the system on what seems to be on the monthly basis now.

I wonder what will be in the summer, or in the big holiday update.

candy_mafia3677d ago (Edited 3677d ago )

Totally what MS should do. Create some buzz 'n optimism for Xbone. There's way too many negative articles about Xbone IMO.

E3 could be super huuge for all the major platforms.

lawgone3677d ago

I agree and disagree. The crowd reaction to XB1 was so immature before and did not represent the majority of customers. I like to see what's announced at things like E3 but I couldn't care less how the crowd there reacts to it. Too many easily manipulated fanboys there.

GribbleGrunger3677d ago

"You can't re-brand a personality by throwing in the word 'outgoing'", says a pragmatic poster.

BX813677d ago

Enjoying the hell out of my XB1 can't wait to see what's up next!

I'm playing through Gears of War 2 right now on XB1. Much, MUCH better game than 1. Excellent set pieces in the campaign and it's much smoother. The gameplay does feel a tad bit dated, though. coalition has to modern it somewhat. They need to make the triggers the sprint buttoms, the cover the convention bumper buttons, make it a tad more cinematic, and a few more changes and they're money. Loving BC so far can't wait for skate 3.

Legion213069d ago

Completely disagree with those controls, that sounds awful. What are you supposed to shoot with if the triggers and bumpers are taken?

donthate3069d ago

Well, with the new button mapping app, he can just set it up any way he wants.... Get the Elite controller and you got paddles too! Best controller I have ever used. :D

"important enough of a console that both playstation and xbox teams are making the argument that there boxes are the most “xbox 360++”

yup. That was the generation where the X360 really made online gaming a thing. I had mine for over a year before I went online for the first time with a 30 day trial. after that, I couldnt go back. Was like a whole new world of gaming. once upon a time we would have been happy playing 4 player split screen. But after I went online with R6:vegas, gears and eventually halo 3, and forza 2, there was no turning back for me.

To think I considered myself done with gaming back in 2004. I didnt expect the x360 to be such a great console. And playing the first mass effect for the first time was a special moment in gaming, ill never forget. Im amazed that MS did not buy bioware to this day./they certainly had the opportunity.

FoxyGotGame3069d ago (Edited 3069d ago )

Aside from the early failure rates...360 is the best product MS ever produced. J Allard & team should've been involved with the X1 architecture/design /

VER1ON3069d ago

Still loving this amazing piece. Truly a legacy for console gaming.

Xbox One's First Big Update Will Address 'The Live Experience,' Expect Streaming Before E3

Engadget writes: "Based on our conversation with Whitten, it sounds like those Live fixes are coming sooner than later. Promised game streaming functionality, however, may not be coming as quickly. "This is not 100 percent," Whitten prefaced his statement with. "But my general strategy at E3 is to talk about things that are gonna happen from that E3 to the next E3. So, we are not yet to the next E3," he added with a smile. So, uh, before June then."

Xbox ONE major update hopefully its starts a trend of recovery

TheRedButterfly3752d ago

The Xbox One hardly needs a trend of recovery. It's doing more than fine in its "broken" [as you seem to think] state.

Ritsujun3752d ago Show
georgeenoob3752d ago (Edited 3752d ago )

@rits

Keep trying? How about Sony keep trying to keep PSN from going down. MS doesn't even need to try with that, that's how powerful Live is. Xbox as a whole feels like a true next-gen system, truly all in one. The best games, entertainment, navigation, and online experience only on Xbox One.

Gazondaily3752d ago

I just think its ridiculous that live streaming may not be available until before E3....even though it was announced last E3. Simply unacceptable really. Whats taking so long?

And regarding party chat; does nobody do quality testing over there? A few minutes wjth the current system would make it obvious that it simply is a pain to use.

nukeitall3751d ago

@georgeenoob:

The issue with PSN isn't just it going down with growing pains. The maintenaince alone takes the service down.

You constantly hear about scheduled maintenance. That is what used to be back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now a days, with the cloud everything is updated on the spot and new instances provisioned.

Sure a system will be taken down for maintenance, but not every other week! More like once a year or less....

Xbox Live hasn't been down on the X1 as much PSN has been on my PS4. XBL is great so far tho both the X1 and PS4 need updates and better features. For those idiotic fanboys that say I don't have a PS4 because of having just one bubble and my comment history that's nonsense. I do and if you want I can PM my PSN profile name so you can send a friend request. I'll accept you just to prove you wrong. But I will say the PS4 ain't bad at all but the the X1 is my favorite and most played.

Zero Games in your PS4?

Fireseed3752d ago

I'm assuming this will fix the very wonky and un-intuitive party system. Would be great to hear more details surrounding what the patch will entail.

Ravenor3752d ago

The almost insane party system is by far my least favorite part of the interface. I'm really loving the Twitter approach to the friends list though, it's nice not having your inbox spammed with friend invites and it's nice to be able to slip into MP matches with some of the Game Journalists I follow.

Anyways, no update is a bad update.

n4rc3752d ago

It was really bad at first but seemed to improve..

Personally I'd love to see patch notes so I know what to look for when it updates something.. So improved notifications and dnla are my two wishes.. And being able to snap Skype would be cool (know its coming so not a huge issue, but I'm impatient Lol)

Oh ya.. And that 3d model of yourself for your avatar! Demoed so like Skype, ya know its happening..

sak5003752d ago (Edited 3752d ago )

Agreed. My gripe is similar

1. Friends online notification missing
2. No external HDD support atm even when 3.0 usb ports are provided this should be addressed sooner rather than later.
3. achievements app doesn't work offline even though it was there in 360. Would prefer simplistic 360 approach for achievment tracking.
4. A/V Media playback.
5. Party start/invite system
6. Internal HDD management
7. Controller battery notification. The controller doesn't even blink like 360's one when it's low on battery. A bad decision whoever made it to remove that feature.

That's about it rest it's fine and waiting for some new games ;)

FragMnTagM3751d ago

@Sak500

The home button on the controller does indeed blink, but it is nowhere near as noticeable as the 360 controller, which is good and bad at the same time. It is good, that it is not so damned annoying when playing in the dark, but bad that it is almost unnoticeable now.

Also, about the HDD management. It does suck with the state that it is in, but if you want to get rid of something, you can press the start (menu) button and go to uninstall for now.

thehitman3752d ago

I think twitch, ustream support on PS4 is a huge + over XB1. I thought XB1 was going to have that right away since they announced twitch partnership before Sony did. They probably may never have a real streaming functionality put in based off the architecture of the xb1. PS4 has dedicated resources for it, I cant imagine how bad the quality would be on xb1 streaming sub 1080p games at sub 720p quality streams.

BanginBiscuitz3752d ago

I award you sir the award for pulling that comment right up out of your butt.

Ravenor3752d ago

N4G, it's not for the reasonable.

n4rc3752d ago

Am I really the only one that couldnt care less about streaming my gameplay? Lol

Nobody needs a live feed of gameplay.. Especially by any and everyone..

Gazondaily3752d ago

Well the popularity of Twitch streaming speaks for itself.

I really want to stream gameplay. It can make the experience a lot more enjoyable. it even made my experience of the Battlefield 4 campaign enjoyable as random people were just laughing at my commentary and made suggestions that I use x weapon or make certain decisions (important in thr ending).

Also, I think its so stupid that the X1 actually comes with a camera and this was the main thing I was going to use it for and cannot.

MasterCornholio3752d ago (Edited 3752d ago )

Let me put it this way.

Your opinion =\= to the worlds.

As you can see from the data Twitch is extremely popular on the PS4. Dont believe me? Just go to twitch yourself and you will see a ton of streams from PS4 users.

You lose.

mhunterjr3751d ago

I'm less surprised that people want to stream their gameplay, than I am at the fact that people want to watch randoms play games live.

I could understand watching a feed from a popular gamer or website, but the idea of using my console to watch some nobody play a game is lost on me. I'd rather just use my console to play a game.

When that guy exposes his drunk wife on twitch, I wasn't surprised that he did it. I was surprised that so many people were logged into his ridiculously pointless stream to witness it.

n4rc3751d ago (Edited 3751d ago )

Just because everyone streams their gameplay doesn't mean its necessary..

I could stream myself watch TV.. Does it mean its a good idea just because I can do it?

And to point out the obvious here.. Your opinion doesn't equal everyone elses either.. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone needs it

I dont see how random people watching you play enhances gameplay.. Or brings anything to the table except maybe some ego stroking.. Wasn't some guy streaming g himself assaulting his wife? Lol. The nasty side of streaming

But again.. Its my opinion.. If you enjoy it then I'm not here to stop you.. But I don't see the point myself.

Sounds like a tweaking rather than a tune up. All things in good time I suppose. I would like to be able to play 3d BluRay sometime soon.

want to "fix" the xbox one, just copy every thing from the 360.
