Are_The_MaDNess3686d ago

hmmm maybe the disagrees are right, maybe i will play Dota instead...... but what do i know. apparently some random dude knows what i will play on those days before me....

You don't understand why they disagree?

I'll give you a hint. They disagree with you and they will be playing TES online.

Think about this. You pay 60 + dollars for the right to play a game for 30 days. That is it. 30 days. By paying this you are covering costs for the company who made the game.

So you are basically RENTING this game for the first month for 60 dollars. But hey, at least they aren't making you pay 15 dollars for the first month for ONLINE SERVICES .... right?

After that you pay 15 dollars a month for the right to play their game monthly.

I decided a while back that, from now on, if I have to pay a monthly fee, I refuse to pay 60 bucks for a game to play for ONE FREE MONTH.

Free download only for me. K thanks.

End of line.

Think about this. I along with millions of other people loved the beta and feel the price is justified. I mean, you could always spend $30 and pick up MGS and see everything the game has to offer in a few hours and never touch it again. Or spend 30 more, and have hundreds of hours of content you couldn't even imagine seeing in a months time. Then after your 30 days decide if its worth an additional $15 a month.

"hundreds of hours of content you couldn't even imagine seeing in a months time"

jesus, is it really that much content?

_LarZen_3686d ago

You are paying for stable servers. Continues bug and optimizing of the game. New content in patches. A big support team.

For a dedicated mmo player these are important things. When you play a game almost each day or as often as you can for years you want these things to be in order.

For a newcomer to the genera or one that play for a few weeks and then quits I understand the issue with price.

But this is a premium mmo. Nothing like the "F2P" games that are out.

And I honestly don't understand why gamers complain about 15$. It's pocket change...people use more on lunch each day. That is if you are an adult with a job...

This game will flop like SWToR did.
around one year, and they will drop their system to F2P with more upped micro transaction payment.

Only game that pulls monthly payment off, is WoW.
And most likely stays on that.

This game looks and feels dull and boring. It offers NOTHING new. And instead like TERA and AoC and other decent MMOs, that are F2P and even looks better. They want you to pay 15$ a month to play their game ?

How stupid can they be ?

_LarZen_3686d ago

What kind of gamer are you that wish a game to fail?

I respect that you don't like the game. One cant like every game out there. There are allot of games I don't like also. But I don't wish they fail and have to turn their game in to a cancer infested experience with microtransactions.

zRude3686d ago

I never said i WISH it to fail.
I just said it WILL fail.

The game comes F2P eventually,
it is just a matter of time.

We have seen how these massive blockbuster monthly paid MMOs turn out to be.

Only MMO that pulled it off in the first place was WoW. AoC, TERA, SWToR, RIFT etc etc. All started with monthly fee. And shortly after got dumped down to F2P.
This will not be any different.

But hey, maybe that is their plan. Get extra cash with the monthly fees from the start. And then continue with F2P method.

"Cancer infest experience with microtransactions"

I guess you did know eso has microtransactions and a $60 price tag and a $15 a month sub... Its DOA I am afraid.

zRude3685d ago

Yeah i know it have already some micro transactions in it.
But if and WHEN the game goes to F2P. They will improve the micro transaction system.

And IF and by some snowball change, this game keeps itself in P2P system... I honestly will be amazed and stunned.

djplonker3686d ago

Avioding this like the plague after playing the beta its sad to know people will spend time and money looking forward to future content and it will just go f2p its probably the most boring mmo I have ever played!

I will stick to guild wars 2 and ff14 thanks...

Are_The_MaDNess3685d ago

cant agree more with the most boring MMO ever..... huge fan of elder scrolls, played all the game loads of times and finnished them all more than once.
heck i still play Skyrim to this day.
but i wont be getting this.
was boring and stale and had nothing to offer me except Lore..... and you kinda need some good gameplay and such to keep people interested.
