Five Huge Franchises that Need to Make Obvious Changes

Despite several iterations, some of my favorite franchises seem blind to making some obvious changes that they should have made some time ago. I’m here to fix that, developers take note! (Assassin's Creed 2, Batman Arkham, Dev, Industry, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, PC, PS3, PS4, Sonic Generations, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I hope the changes that get made, primarily to Mass Effect, involve heavy exploration. Give me a vast world (or galaxy) to explore, give me the tools to get the job done, and get out of my way and let me discover the wonders without hand holding or incessant prompting.
