Team spirit is one of the most important elements of sports, and you’ll often see players trying all kinds of ways in order to strengthen the camaraderie within their team. All that's left is a copy of the show. Only real baseball game on the market

Eonjay1590d ago

Isn't that the only sports game where the players vote on the cover?

uptownsoul1590d ago

and have you seen the new features. This one's gonna be nice

DuB1590d ago

You got to love that guy.

Mystogan1590d ago

I don't see how this is amazing. They are all millionaires, I'm pretty sure they can afford a PS4 if they wanted one. Why not donate them to an orphanage or something?

HaveAsandwich1590d ago

you're missing why he did this. it's because mlb the show is a ps4 exclusive. they are baseball players. he knows the game is on ps4, so yea....

Melankolis1590d ago

Human always want to share happiness or at least want their beloved ones to know about what he/she is happy for.
That has nothing to do with millionaires or orphans.
To me, Heyward maybe trying to show his teammates how fun videogames are.

medman1590d ago

@Mystogan
C'mon man...you could make that statement about anybody who receives a gift. Why not give the gifts you receive to charity? I'm fairly certain Jason Heyward does his fair share for charitable organizations, why be sour on the man for treating his friends and teammates? A nice gesture is never the wrong thing.

HaveAsandwich1590d ago

as a phillies fan, eff heyward. as a ps4 fan, that's awesome. as a baseball fan in general, i think heyward is going to have a great year, and i can't wait for the show.

I'm curious to know how thats possible when you can't find any around ... at least not last time i checked

iceman061590d ago

You know these guys have connections. They could probably get it straight from the source. I never wanted to be famous (wouldn't mind rich), but it WOULD be nice to be able to call in a favor like this.

rdgneoz31590d ago

With enough money, you can find anything. That, or do as a friend of mine did and go to Best Buy or Gamestop early in the morning on a day they get new inventory in. He went when there was a snow storm out so he was lucky.

Diver1590d ago

money money money. and as they said he must a called in a favor.

Longshot281590d ago

They've been in stock on amazon for two weeks straight. The lack of supply is becoming a thing of the past.

Brim1590d ago

Dammnit i was looking to sell mine for a large price then re-buying it ... oh well

Longshot281590d ago

lol I get disagrees for facts, don't hate me. I've been spamming the hell out of it to get people to buy them up.

Snookies121590d ago (Edited 1590d ago )

Yeah there's that, and I'm also wondering what the point is... I mean, it's a cool thing to do but these guys all make a ton of money... They could all buy PS4's, X1's and Wii U's if they wanted them, that's like spare change to these guys.

iceman061590d ago

Funny as it sounds, there are some notoriously cheap professional athletes. I've heard stories of players that still drive their college cars or won't buy new clothes until they are forced to (as in new dress policies). Others might not be in the know about gaming. But, this could be their introduction.
Plus, many like to game on the road and even in the clubhouse. So, no excuses now! Everybody can hook up in their hotel rooms and play. I remember seeing a video of some MLB players on the airplane. To my shock, a large group of them had PSP's (during the "struggling years") They were playing MLB The Show online.

Go #Braves!!!

That's my boy J-Hey!

THIS IS OUR YEAR!

AirJohnston1590d ago

I sure hope it's our year! I've thought it was ours the past 3 or 4 seasons...

Eonjay1590d ago

I'm really hoping the Phillies comeback to life this year...

SourShoes1590d ago (Edited 1590d ago )

Doubt that with McCann gone and Medlen falling apart.

Game0N1590d ago

We had setbacks and bad shit happen to us last year too and we kept on chugging along so I'm not worried about the hit to the rotation. However, i am scared of going with Freddy Garcia as our number 5 or 4.

Hicken1590d ago

I dunno man. We're unlucky with our pitchers right now. I'm still hopeful, though.

SourShoes1590d ago (Edited 1590d ago )

I can't wait for the move to Cobb. Midtown is much too gangsta for me. Dem panhandlers and dat Marta.

And Uggla is ugly, what a waste of $12.5 million every year. Then BJ Upton. I'm nauseous.

Sitdown1590d ago

As if panhandlers and MARTA can't move to Cobb along with the traffic jam.

SonyStyled1590d ago

was Grady Sizemore from the Braves? How is he as a player? He plays for my Red Sox now

Game0N1590d ago

Sizemore never played for the Bravos. He was a very solid player when he came up, kind of like an Ellsbury-lite, but he was super injury-prone and all his promise kind of faded away. I hope he sees a resurgence.

I'll see your 1, and raise you 4!

Seems that the PS4 can play with the best of them.
