Keep up the good work Nintendo. The next two months are going to be brutal.

From the article:

"Both consoles saw an increase in sales year-over-year, although the 3DS did see a much more substantial increase. The Wii U, which sold roughly 65,000 units last February, saw a 25% increase to 82,000 units. The 3DS, on the other hand, saw 180% increase year-over-year.

On the software end, numbers were released for both 3DS and Wii U games.
Bravely Default, which launched on February 7th, outsold Nintendo’s February release in 2013, Fire Emblem: Awakening, by more than 10%.
In its first three weeks on sale, the game sold more than 200,000 units, landing it in tenth place on the NPD; not too shabby for a niche JRPG.
Pokemon X/Y continued to sell well, moving more than 130,000 units combined in February. The lone Wii U release, Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, sold more than 130,000 combined physical and digital units in its first 8 days on the market."

All this with new competition working against it, shows that they're steadily improving.
They've still got a long road to go to selling over 100K Wii U systems per week, but they're getting there.

Very excited for this news. Bravely Default is an amazing game. Donkey Kong Country TF is also amazing. Love what Retro was able to do with the background scenery. Made the worlds seem more alive.
