"Next-gen revolutionary game" does not immediately come to mind when playing Titanfall.
Dude, your comment just cracked me up...lmao.
best review i ever read finally a real review
Blog reviews here's another review from the same site: http://n4g.com/news/1472562... Like the "user reviews" on metacritic, I need to know their background because the reviews don't sound like they have much experience with fps, even mentions design not better than BF or COD, I disagree especially if she's talking about core gameplay, but hey its all opinions just can't take her seriously if she thinks it's a hard game.
finally unbiased review
that review was basically all --> "its too hard", " i died allot"
I rarely play multiplayer in any game on any platform (give me single player any day) but even I'm having fun with Titanfall. Sure, I die a lot and, were it not for the grunts I probably wouldn't get many (any?) kills at all, but I'm having fun. The gameplay is fast, smooth and action-packed; it just "feels good" to me. Titanfall is quite the adrenaline rush, I must admit.
I have a friend who is pretty bad at fps. And he comes in middle of the pack and occasionally first especially on hardpoint. You get alot of points just holding hard points!!! Just finished the campaign mp. Was ok...nothing mind blowing. Overall I'm having fun..And that is what matters most me.
Having fun with it on PC,was able to have it maxed out on everything with 1080p and just a tiny frame drops in heavy occasions. Fun game but it lacks structure and balance IMO... All the time when playing I was like "this would have been much cooler if it had a story or single player". Yes there is a story, but I just didn't get attached to it AT ALL,it's like they didn't even bother, the whole focus was on the MP(which is decent and fun tbh). Not the OMG WOW THIS IS AMAZING kind of game I was hoping for,but it's not bad either, just don't get your hopes up too much. All in all,I'm satisfied but eager for more, would like them to try harder with the DLC and the sequel to this game.
well this review does not count
I have no interest in Titanfall as I dont play online or have an Xbone, but I'm still not falling for this clickbait crap. The game has been getting overwhelmingly great scores, and if it is your type of game it looks like its the MP shooter to beat for now. PS I've always said from the start the gameplay mechanics look really fun. I wish they had incorporated them into a Single Player game. Maybe MS should make a Gunvalkyrie sequel.
Oh so it's THAT kind of review...
The one promising Xbone exclusive & it's mediocre... OUCH! Ah well, we'll get a true taste of next next gen when Infamous Second Son launches next week.
lol >.> where do I begin..
Oh this is just a fanboy review. But I expect Infamous to be a mediocre game because they've shown very little actual unedited gameplay. And also because the other infamous games sucked.
WTf are you talking about? Infamous 1 and 2 were highly received/reviewed and sold well. And they've shown tons of gameplay...stop being a lowlife troll. Go outside and get some friends... I have Titanfall on my PC and I'm loving it but every match ends up playing out the same. Doesn't matter what game mode it is. That's my biggest gripe. There's NO diversity. All pilot play styles revolve around the same thing. Titan classes don't differ enough/ogre is useless lol. Stryder with quad rocket and smoke is unstoppable. It has great mechanics but I'm going to get bored very quickly. With no campaign, (no that dialogue during battles ISNT a campaign), no private lobbies, map voting, next to no unlocks (11 pilot weapons? Seriously?) its going to get old quickly. Plus I'm already level 43 at about 8 hours in...
I never understood the hype about Infamous. This incarnation looks good, but I tried the previous too and gameplay was sub-par. (I never understood the term "sub-par". Sub-par means below-par, which is good. Really, it should be super-par.)
This again??? It's one person's review of the game. Sure, it's an outlier, but it's still one person. That person doesn't have to be a "fanboy" to write a less than positive review of a game. From what I gathered, it seemed like this reviewer was missing something that some other reviews have mentioned before...DEPTH. It seemed like, at least for the reviewer, the campaign was monotonous (also mentioned before) and the gameplay offered no nuance. It was fun, but compared to established franchises such as Battlefield and CoD, there was no strategy. That, IMO, is a fair evaluation (because it's purely OPINION) EVEN if the score is a bit harsh.
Well to each their own I guess...but this just feels like an unknown site trying to muster up some clickbait so they can get noticed. Not everyone will like this game, but if you play MP games and like FPS....then I see absolutely no reason not to like this game. It's a blast...now back to Titanfall, and all the people with no games to play can downvote me.
Didn't even read the review. Titanfall is not the kind of game I'm looking for but there is no way it's a 6. Click bait article
You cannot please them all.
to see the picture of who did the review says it all, a child who is a little time in gaming ever think and realize that game. CoD Kid's all said http://www.gameskinny.com/g... and moreover is your first review site looool^^ Well never analyzed a game but I will analyze the titanfall to end the hype
Lol what? A six? Really? I keep forgetting that everyone can have their own website now.
wonder if this guy will rate second son the same for bait. then that might not make n4g news
im calling bs on this review
Let's not bash and just move on. They didn't like it and I assume felt it was average which that score tells me. All good :-)
this was a well thought out review..
and here comes the clickbait.
This review is a joke. I think this reviewer just doesn't like shooter in general. She gave Battlefield 4 a "4". I know it has its issue but a 4 out of 10 for Battlefield? http://www.gameskinny.com/a...
lol...she gave battlefield 4 a 4...Haha
Says all that needs to be said.
I based my review of BF4 on the first month after it released when the game was barely playable. Even sources like Polygon gave it a four...Everyone couldn't stand the game when it first came out. Now, since they have patched it up and I can actually play it I might up the score but I base my reviews on what I have in front of me not future/potential DLC.
Sound about right.
Seems like an honest review. I find it strange, seeing other reviews with 10/10...9/10...8.5/10...4/5... 5/5, yet I see server issues, frame rate in single digits when too many things are happening on screen at once, lack of A.I. intelligence, 80% bot killing vs 20% human kills, screen tearing, no sniping, lack of variety (weapons), no private matching, bad match making system...etc. The one plus to this game is that it's really fun...and that is great. But the fun factor couple'd with all the problems it is having at launch...Titanfall shouldn't be close to perfect scores. I'm sure I'll get a lot of disagrees, but it's all over the web with these problems. They should have delayed it...and made Titanfall a much better success story than this. At $60, I think Xbox fans and PC gamers got ripped off...hopefully they can fix these problems sooner than later.
I agree, I think back to Warhawk which is also a multi-player only game that is different from any Game I have ever played. Warhawks had,had a ton of content and ran smooth. it is to this day one of the best multi-player games I have ever played. I truly don't understand how titanfall, can get much better reviews than a game like Warhawk which received average reviews. one thing that reviewers dinged Warhawk for was no single player, this doesn't seem to be an issue for Titanfall.
I have Warhawk, and I can't believe that it got bashed for being multiplayer only. That game was amazing simply because two people could melee each other to death at the same time.
I just take reviews for what they are at this point...personal opinion. If you don't like someones opinion then disregard it. It's like reading a movie critique for a movie that you really wanted to see. Most of us wouldn't change our plans because some total stranger said the movie sucked. No, we'd go see for ourselves. At very least, we'd consult friends and our "trusted" sources for a more balanced review. It's a bit naive to think that everybody will like everything AND to the same degree as you. There will ALWAYS be outliers. We've seen it before and I expect to see it in the next week.
The reviewer right in a way, the thing that generated excitement in COD4 was the really cool SP campaign, looking back now the campaign wasn't special, but at the time people came for the SP and stayed for the MP. It gave the game a personality and had a lot of memorable moments.
