Titanfall Texture Resolution & Graphics Comparison: Low, Med, High vs. Insane

GamersNexus: "Anyway, if you're having trouble getting the game to run at a reasonable FPS or otherwise want help optimizing the graphics settings for your video card, this might help you out. In this Titanfall graphics comparison article, we'll look at low, medium, very high, and 'insane' resolution textures, then compare low vs. medium vs. max game settings. The idea is to showcase that the textures don't differ much in a noticeable fashion (after 'low'), so users can easily drop texture resolutions in order to afford higher framerates."

This game isn't too taxing at all. My pc is running this game on high perfectly.

MRMagoo123953d ago

LOL how do you get disagrees about it not being taxing , pretty much any PC from the last 10 years could play this game easily.

Mine can't bought in 09 from best buy

Buying from best buy is your problem...

Literally. Go to PC store. Say I want it to be able to do this and you already have a system that is stronger than what best buy will sell you.

Pcs prebuilt are over priced.

The insane textures don't look all that great, not sure why 3gb of vram is required for it. Hope a DF article can expand on the tech they used.

Pandamobile953d ago

There's a lot of textures.

Allsystemgamer953d ago (Edited 953d ago )

There's just many textures used. It actually has a diverse amount of textures. Nearly every wall is different as opposed to many games that have the same assets throughout the level. That's the main reason. 3gb is not needed it just helps. Don't forget, optimization on PC os very different from console. A game can not look fantastic but can be demanding due to design choices.

Btw I'm a little drunk soooooooooo don't take what I'm saying as fact lol

Allsystemgamer953d ago

Maaaaan peoples agreeing with me and I haven't a clue what I'm saying. Must be ruin somthing rights

Where are you getting 3GB of VRAM usage from??!! In Gamersnexus benchmarks they used Max Settings with Insane textures with a 1.5GB GTX 580!

MegaMohsi952d ago (Edited 952d ago )

The in game option to set textures to insane states at least 3gb of vram required. Here's an excerpt from the DF article:

Bearing in mind this particular focus, it should come as little surprise to see that Titanfall's assets and rendering properties are almost a complete match between Xbox One and PC. The console gains access to the "insane" texture quality levels of the computer version - which requires a 3GB video card to run smoothly - and aside from an "only noticeable in still shots" downgrade to shadow quality, most of the rendering assets are very close indeed between both versions.

Once you get to Med it doesn't really make a huge difference.

diehardmetallicafan953d ago

its hard to tell the difference between the four. either way it doesn't look too flash in my opinion
