Considering this adapter retails for $25, the headphones themselves really only cost $55, so they’re relatively inexpensive when compared to some of the higher-end third party headsets. With that being said, they don’t produce the highest quality sounds, but they’re solid enough to justify the small investment, plus the inclusion of the headset adapter will allow you to use other headsets if you so choose to. Variety is the spice of life is it not?"

No, actually the adapter is incredibly overpriced at $25 dollars and M$ loses almost nothing by including it in this package.
