its really a hardware hungry game
and it does look like one too
used to look*
If that's the minimum for what they've shown recently, then they have done a terrible job at optimization.
Funny how the min required CPU for PC is more powerful than the CPU in the PS4/Xbone. Recommended Specs Are: - DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM (e.g. NVidia GTX 560 ti, AMD Radeon HD 7850) - Four core Intel or Eight core AMD (e.g. Intel Core i7-3770, AMD FX-8350) - 8gb RAM If anyone is interested in the "Ultra" Specs, here they are: - Latest DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM or more (e.g. Nvidia GTX 670, AMD Radeon HD 7970) - Latest Six core Intel or Eight core AMD (e.g. Intel Core i7-3930K, AMD FX-9370) - 8gb+ RAM http://www.ign.com/wikis/wa... It seems my GTX 680 meets the ultra settings. My i7-860 overclocked to 4ghz should be just fine for the CPU. Excellent. PCmasterRace in effect!
pc have to be more powerfull because with a running game pc has to run windows and a bunch of useless crap in windows as for console it just runs a game
@RE_L_MAYER You are correct if you trying the same level of graphics as the console. However for the minimum, usually lower than consoles level graphics, the specs should be much lower. What surprised me is the six core "requirement". A game shouldn't need one... I sense a marketing discussion was involve. In any case my 4770k @ 4.5GHz and Titan Black should be able to run it. ;-)
My PC is READY-&-ABLE :-)
Where's the apple II specs? I was hoping on dusting off that old beast and play me some line, swiggle, line
The last gameplay trailer was running on an Apple II so I think you'll be fine.
Everything ok until I saw the RAM. I was close, I'm going to make the upgrade soon though, so I'll think of purchasing the PC version.
Come to the Dark Side....you wont regret it.
...until you play an FPS and everyone is cheating.
Indeed PC elitist is a nice place to be.. You can even play last gen games in next gen quality.. Also never having to worry about backwards compatibility is really nice :).
Not only that, when you get back to the game in 5-10 years it will scale and you'll play 4k 120 fps where the console version is stuck in time.
The Google definition of elite is "a group of PEOPLE considered (by others or themselves) to be the best in a particular society or category, esp. because of their power, talent, or wealth." I do not think I personally am above or better than anybody else because I decided to spend more money on a machine. I do think my machine is better than your machine (console) in most ways because I have put more money into the hardware. The phrase "You get what you pay for" comes to mind in this situation.
im fine but for along time i have been crippling myself due to only using 4gb of ram. silly because i have decent pc rig except RAM. although im getting this on ps4 i think i should still upgrade to 8gb
Ram is insanely cheap these days.
aye,im just a tight sod lol. nah spend too much money on kids etc, always put of buying my own things
Just make sure you're running 64-bit Windows 7/8 and not 32-bit prior to upgrading that ram, otherwise you won't be able to use more than the 4GB anyway.
aye been on win 7 and 8 64bit for a year at least now
Dang Ubisoft seems like this game is power hungry. It better look like the E3 2012 version with all this hardware you want. Boy, I can't wait to see what's the recommended requirements.
This is the first time seeing a game requiring, AT A MINIMUM, a PC powered by a QUAD CORE Processor and 6GB Memory. To date, every game that has come out is able to run on minimum system with a DUAL CORE Processor with 2GB Memory... Hell, even Crysis through Crysis 3 runs on Dual Core with 2GB (at a minimum). We might as well CROWN Watch Dogs as the Highest Demanding Spec game for a Minimum System Required PC... the first game to require a QUAD CORE powered PC with 6GB Memory AT A MINIMUM requirement.
DAT CAPITAL LETTERS. ... they never fail at adding some drama to every post.
The current minimum specs for the hangar module in Star Citizen are listed as:- Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM Quad core CPU 8GB Memory Can't help but wonder what the recommended specs will become as more things become available besides just the hangar module.
I would like to see the Recommended specs..
Looks way too high for it to be the min specs considering the game is coming to the 360/PS3.
now please release the make your pc cry in agony specs!
this "next gen" gaming ... a lot of bullshit behind it remember when Ubi said that next gen games (as of 2014, current gen) will not be console ports for PC, but PC optimized - yeah, they lied .. again I remember when CoD: Ghosts min PC specs were revealed .. just facepalming myself thinking
And that day at Ubisoft, they were doing alllll the cocaine.
If for grx on recommended specs is anything above gtx560 (im looking at you gtx 660 <_<) its going to be too damn high :[
My R9 270X is ready
Hell I'm ready. I'm hoping Ultra settings will look like the 2012 PC build.. Not the 2014 PS4 preview we saw in that comparison the other day. Than I'll be happy man.
Glad I just bought an R9 280X from Sapphire. Think my quad core phenom will let me down, hopefully the new card will compensate somewhat.
My gtx 780 laughs at these minimum specs.. Lets go Ubi, my body is ready!
Good to know that my custom HD7870 (would be an HD7865 on paper), 8 core low power CPU, and 8GB GDDR5 in my PS4 are ready to play this game... /s? Is it me or do next gen console specs seem to be deciding PC requirements?
Previous gen specs were holding back multi platform games. Devs simply ported the games to PC with slightly enhanced visuals and features but most were poorly optimised. Some devs pushed PC's still like Ubisoft with Far Cry 3, 4A Games with Metro Last light, Crytek with crysis 3 etc. Now though with the current gen being in line with if not above the specs of the 'average' 'gaming' PC, devs work from this foundation (specs) up so yes the next gen specs will pretty much decide PC requirements, at least at the mid to high level settings. Then PC's with powerful intel i7's on FX8350's and GTX 780's, AMD R9 290X's etc will be able to take the visuals to the next level.
I see disagrees with no written response, yet I see a great response below with insight and logic, so you have my agreement and a bubble. Also I love sapphire reference cards, some of my highest clocking GPUs were golden chips from Sapphire.
Appreciate the bubble mate. Gave you one for an intelligent reply, some on here just slate anyone who tries to talk some sense. My last two cards have been from sapphire, overclocked with their custom coolers they don't get over 60'C under load. Literally had a R9 280X from them arrive yesterday and its the same story again, brilliant card and performance is awesome. Will be getting my hands on PS4 soon though, always been a console boy and whatever naughty dog do I want to be involved, and MGS 5 PP as I'm not convinced it will make it to PC.
this is all bullshit the game will run on dual core intel and 4gb ram and a gddr5 card 7000 series or gtx500 series. all those extreme specs are pure bullshit just for marketing tricks.
Noticing some people mentioning the downgrade from the recent trailer as if that's what PC users are going to get. While I obviously can't gaurantee anything, what you saw in that recent trailer was ps4 graphics. What we saw in 2012 was alpha/beta Watchdogs on PC. My concern is how well it will run though because assassin's creed IV runs like dogshit, could get it to run at 30 max settings 1080p (one notch down on the AA) no problem but getting that game to run at a solid 60 no matter what I did was fuckin impossible and I'm running a gtx 680, i5-3570.
