its really a hardware hungry game

Magicite1737d ago

and it does look like one too

If that's the minimum for what they've shown recently, then they have done a terrible job at optimization.

AndrewLB1737d ago

Funny how the min required CPU for PC is more powerful than the CPU in the PS4/Xbone.

Recommended Specs Are:

- DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM (e.g. NVidia GTX 560 ti, AMD Radeon HD 7850)
- Four core Intel or Eight core AMD (e.g. Intel Core i7-3770, AMD FX-8350)
- 8gb RAM

If anyone is interested in the "Ultra" Specs, here they are:

- Latest DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM or more (e.g. Nvidia GTX 670, AMD Radeon HD 7970)
- Latest Six core Intel or Eight core AMD (e.g. Intel Core i7-3930K, AMD FX-9370)
- 8gb+ RAM

It seems my GTX 680 meets the ultra settings. My i7-860 overclocked to 4ghz should be just fine for the CPU. Excellent. PCmasterRace in effect!

RE_L_MAYER1737d ago

pc have to be more powerfull because with a running game pc has to run windows and a bunch of useless crap in windows as for console it just runs a game

Athonline1736d ago

You are correct if you trying the same level of graphics as the console.

However for the minimum, usually lower than consoles level graphics, the specs should be much lower.

What surprised me is the six core "requirement". A game shouldn't need one... I sense a marketing discussion was involve.

In any case my 4770k @ 4.5GHz and Titan Black should be able to run it. ;-)

nchizimbi1737d ago

My PC is READY-&-ABLE :-)

SkippyPaccino1737d ago

Where's the apple II specs? I was hoping on dusting off that old beast and play me some line, swiggle, line

DeadIIIRed1737d ago

The last gameplay trailer was running on an Apple II so I think you'll be fine.

Metallox1737d ago (Edited 1737d ago )

Everything ok until I saw the RAM. I was close, I'm going to make the upgrade soon though, so I'll think of purchasing the PC version.

SteamPowered1737d ago

Come to the Dark wont regret it.

frostypants1737d ago

...until you play an FPS and everyone is cheating.

Gamer19821737d ago

Indeed PC elitist is a nice place to be.. You can even play last gen games in next gen quality.. Also never having to worry about backwards compatibility is really nice :).

kingduqc1737d ago

Not only that, when you get back to the game in 5-10 years it will scale and you'll play 4k 120 fps where the console version is stuck in time.

MicDude1737d ago

The Google definition of elite is "a group of PEOPLE considered (by others or themselves) to be the best in a particular society or category, esp. because of their power, talent, or wealth."

I do not think I personally am above or better than anybody else because I decided to spend more money on a machine. I do think my machine is better than your machine (console) in most ways because I have put more money into the hardware. The phrase "You get what you pay for" comes to mind in this situation.

ramiuk11737d ago

im fine but for along time i have been crippling myself due to only using 4gb of ram.

silly because i have decent pc rig except RAM.
although im getting this on ps4 i think i should still upgrade to 8gb

Allsystemgamer1737d ago

Ram is insanely cheap these days.

ramiuk11737d ago

aye,im just a tight sod lol.
nah spend too much money on kids etc, always put of buying my own things

Anonagrog1737d ago (Edited 1737d ago )

Just make sure you're running 64-bit Windows 7/8 and not 32-bit prior to upgrading that ram, otherwise you won't be able to use more than the 4GB anyway.

ramiuk11737d ago

aye been on win 7 and 8 64bit for a year at least now

KontryBoy7061737d ago

Dang Ubisoft seems like this game is power hungry. It better look like the E3 2012 version with all this hardware you want. Boy, I can't wait to see what's the recommended requirements.
