Another great opinion piece brought by Jim Sterling!
Amid concerns that Watch_Dogs has been visually "downgraded" after an overpromising reveal trailer, Jimquisition tackles the wider problem of publishers constantly being lying little bastards.
If you are looking for a bargain, check out the huge discounts across the entire WatchDogs series on Steam.
With the world of information and technology, privacy and security growing every day, Watch Dogs deserves another chance in the spotlight, now more than ever.
The only Ubi title that deserves a faithful remake right now is Splinter Cell 1.
All 2014+ Ubi titles are just underwhelming. Especially ones from 2016+ are just cancer.
The fist watchdog game was the best by far
After that they weren't weird and annoying with that hipster stuff. Aiden was a badass.
From VG247: "When cars slide, they leave tyre marks. In a game like Driver, they’re an aesthetic touch, part of the inherent cool of a handbrake turn. But those dark shadows in the road also tell a story. From tyre marks, you can determine the speed of a vehicle, when it started to skid, and its ultimate direction of travel – long after the car itself has vanished into the distance."
Why did they stop making some of the best games ever? Driver was one of them.
A story driven game with pure driving gameplay. I'd love to see a new Driver game or a remake of the first one.
110% correct on everything he said. Developers are in love with wrapping noose's around their neck and kicking the chairs from beneath them.
If Ubisoft wouldn't have shown the E3 2012 demo of Watch_Dogs running on a high end PC with PlayStation controls mapped on screen, they wouldn't be in this predicament.
I'd almost rather not even see the game at all until it's finished than get all hyped up and be let down like I was with Watch_Dogs. I was really looking forward to being engrossed in those awesome graphical details of the city. Not so much now I know it doesn't look as nice.
Again I 110% agree with everything he has said as well.
The only thing I would add is if all versions are all exactly the same content-wise as Ubisoft has claimed & the graphics are now on par with last gens GTA V then surely they should all be the same price...i.e. Not charging an extra £15-$30 purely for the fact one version has a 'Next-gen' sticker on it!
