while SNES+gameboy and pokemon were a hit in my heart, i have to give it up for the Genesis+ Game Gear; my first gaming experience was on a hammy-down genesis. toejam&earl attak on funkatron, i learned that game b4 i learned to talk, hah. which was better? idk, i never thought about that back then so ill leave it at that.

I played well over 300+ games between the two systems growing up.

There is NO better or worse.

There is just a ton of awesome games, awesome memories & awesome Music though.

genesis for one reason...Mortal Kombat had blood. Sega didnt PG everything like nintendo did.

MK1 performed better and had default 6 buttons on the SNES controller. Can't believe Kano pulls out a baseball from the chest though. So dumb with grey "blood".

MK2 on SNES murdered the Genesis one though

SNES hands down.

The JRPGs alone put this console over the top.
Not to mention SFII was first on the SNES and that was huge way back then.
