Dr Who Legacy Review by Gaming on Android

Triverse writes, "Recently, the Dr. Who franchise celebrated its 50th anniversary and we finally get a pretty good Dr Who game (though not that original). The story behind Legacy is that there is an old nemesis traveling through time changing certain key events so that the ultimate war can be not only brought on but won. Make it an rpg where you are the companion. With skills like science, computers, medicine, repair, language, barter, charisma, knowledge: space, religeon, history, etc. Like the mass effect series have multiple galaxies, with multiple worlds/races. Multiple timelines where your choices effect the universe with major consequences. Maybe a love interest and how your choices effect those people involved. As far as combat goes, there are plenty of episodes that have conflicts in them where the use of violence is necessary. Not only can the game have save the universe plotlines but it can also take advantage of the shows survival horror elements. The property is ripe with stories of nearly all catagories entertainment. Comedy, action, drama, suspence, political intrigue, war, sci-fi, fantsy, alternate reality, post apocalyptic. Basically Dr. Who adresses all catagories of tv and film and has endless possibilities for a science fiction rpg and the creators are losing money by not exploring these avenues of story telling. I would like to see a Dr. Who game thag spans over a trilogy of games just like mass effect did where your character being the doctors companion grows, and in the end your choices truley effect the universe, its main timeline and everything withon it.

Dr. Who Legacy Coming to Mobile Devices

The Time Lord is getting further treatment however, with a new game, announced on the @DrWhoLegacy twitter profile, for mobile devices called, you guessed it, Dr. Who: Legacy. Little is known about the game, only one screenshot has been released and the release date is the usual vague “coming soon” but the timing of the announcement has led some to believe that it will be released on the exact 50th anniversary, which is November 23rd.
