10 WTF Moments – Sony Style

CCC Says: "Sony has had a checkered past with gaming systems, launches, online gaming and a whole bunch of other stuff, but the truth of it is that they are a company just like Nintendo or Microsoft and they are ultimately out to make money. Within that model, there is always a time when the eggheads in sales have an idea that could make the company a buttload of money and they spin it so well that the bigwigs forget that the consumer will actually have to buy into it as well. Here are some of the top WTF moments for Sony." (PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PSP, Sony)

True.

* PS Home still has plenty of people online daily. There's no real need to spend money in it. I went on it quite a few times with friends back in late 2008.

* No one's PS Plus account was hacked and nothing was stolen. After Sony detected the breach, they took down PSN themselves and rebuilt their infrastructure, strengthening their security.

* I actually did not care much about the Move until recently. House of the Dead Overkill, the two Resident Evil shooters and the Time Crisis games + my tax refund lured me in. It's pretty fun. Reminds me of the time I used to go to the arcade.
Kinect voice commands are pretty lame IMO. Nowhere near the level of Siri or Google Now. Kinect works 60% of the time, all of the time.

* Those media apps are not really preloaded. The icons are there, but you actually have to download Crackle, Hulu, Netflix, etc if you want them.

* Maybe the first-party launch line up was not the strongest. But Killzone:SF was good and I enjoyed it more than KZ2, personally. Resogun was great. Outlast is great. The FF14ARR beta I just finished playing was great. MGS5:GZ and Infamous come out in a couple of weeks. Plus we got more games from Worldwide Studios being announced soon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... All of which are currently working on PS4 games right now :)

* I don't get the hate for the PSP Go. It wasn't meant replace the regular PSP. It was sold along side the 3000 for newcomers who wanted an all digital game library. If you wanted to play your UMDs, you either kept your old PSP or bought the 3000 model.

Anyway, I'm not sure the author know how to write all that well...
