8 Games That Would Make Brilliant TV Shows

J Station X writes

"Video game consoles aren’t ‘video game’ consoles any more, they’re fully fledged media boxes, with TV shows, movies, games and music ready to sap away our free-time and attention like a leaky dam at the touch of a button and a flick of an analogue stick. We shouldn’t have to decide between a quick gaming session or catching up on our favourite show when both are available in the same package.

So with that in mind, what would happen if the two types of media merged and 20 hour gaming epics were whittled down to concentrated 40 minute bursts of television entertainment? It would be incredible, that’s what. Read on to find out our top picks for the best games that would make brilliant TV shows." (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Culture, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, inFamous: Second Son, PS3, PS4, Tomb Raider, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Assassins Creed would be the most viable, the rest of the suggestions is just unnecessary fan service. Bioshock would best suit a higher budget film.

AC would be perfect as you could have stories and characters running parallel to the games, without the two interfering, allow for greater stories to be told. And perhaps each season could consist of a new assassin from a different era of the same descendant.

Assassin creed ? Lol as long as they stay in the pass it would be ok, but the story as a whole as in the series ... yea not that great. Now I think about it I Dont even remember the missions that can tell you something, but that's just me

The only game that makes sense would be infamous and tomb raider. Truthfully I Dont know why a tomb raider TV show never came out.

Tomb Raider would end up similar to lost. Infamous would be better as a film.

The story for AC would be great, have a central protagonist much like Desmond, perhaps another subject who subjects himself to the Animus, tying the series together, and have a different assassin each season.
