The Witch and the Hundred Knight Review | IGN

The Verdict from IGN: "The Witch and the Hundred Knight has a concept that I dig: an action RPG layered high with the extra nuances the folks at NIS are known for. Sadly, very few of this puzzle’s many pieces are terribly well crafted, and they never truly fit together. There’s some fleeting enjoyment to be had in combat, but without any enjoyable characters, interesting skills, or effective RPG systems, the fun fades well before the credits roll."

5.8 from IGN is a 8.5 for me. Day one!

sorry man, i want to believe that too but its hard to push a 5.8 up. i was hoping this game would be as good or better than the disgaea games but i had a feeling from the gameplay that it wasnt

to be fair no one should base getting a game off of one review score

* A good thing to do is read 4 or 5 pro reviews and then 4 or 5 gamer reviews and compare those with what kinds of games you like.

I am planning to get this anyway. IGN and Gamespot reviews can't be trusted, so they don't matter to me.

I haven't played it yet but NISA games usually get low scores but I still love 'em which is why I got mine preordered.

i love em too and i hope they are wrong but its not looking good

Yeah, I think this is different from Disgaea though.

Agreed with Rodney. NIS games, even Disgaea, always got low scores from western reviewers. But the fans knew that NIS rarely dissapoint us ^^

This game isn't for everyone...well literally ALL games are not for everyone but this one is for a small cult following and I feel I am one of them. I may or may not like it, but I will still give this game a try with an open mind. Also, because if you're a Disgaea fan it doesn't mean you'll find this game enjoyable. It's after all an entirely different game.

I play the Hyperdimension Neptunia games and they score low on mainstream critics like GameSpot, IGN. The games are terrible, but they have a charm that makes them enjoyable for some of us. Same goes for the Atelier Arland and Dusk series.

There is a review that scored this a 7.8 which is here
