Nope it isn't a big deal at all

You want evidence?

I think MGSV comparison is better since it looks like Kojima is doing a good job in optimizing the game. Thief looks like a last gen game in my opinion.

Here you go.

Yep, it is a big deal. The consumers voting with their wallets are saying it is a big deal by purchasing more PS4's than X1's. Even here in the US. So people can say it's not a big deal until they are blue in the face. The fact of the matter is, more gamers are buying PS4 because of this and other reasons as well. So yes, it is definitely a big deal....if you want to sell the most consoles that is.

Nice evidence man. Can you post more 940x404 pics showing all 3 versions of a horribly unoptimized game to prove your point please.

#facepalm

PS4 native 1080p 60fps minus $100.

I think it is.

sorane879d ago (Edited 879d ago )

What are these native 1080p 60fps games? Outlast and a basketball game? They are the only ones I can think of and neither of those are graphical powerhouses by any means.

wcas879d ago

PS4 games at 1080P native 60FPS: COD Ghosts, Tomb Raider, Kill Zone and several others I can't think of right off hand. No matter what the specs of a PS4 game are, the weaker X1 always runs a lower spec. Low res and textured games like Rayman may be similar because the specs are so low that both systems can easily run a less demanding game. Wolfenstien is rumored to have some parity on both systems because of lower textures, lighting effects etc. A game that needs less processing power to run will always find parity because it's not pushing either system.

CoD-nope it drops down in the 30s&40s a lot

Tomb Raider- not even close about 45 fps

Killzone SF is barely above 720p for online and even then it's about 45-50 fps

"In the single-player mode, the game runs at full 1080p with an unlocked frame-rate (though a 30fps cap has been introduced as an option in a recent patch), but it's a different story altogether with multiplayer. Here Guerrilla Games has opted for a 960x1080 framebuffer, in pursuit of a 60fps refresh."

Try to think of the "several others" because I sure can't.

When a console thats 100$ cheaper manages to output 1080P with almost every single game then i think its a big deal in my opinion.

CharlesSwann879d ago

I think the bigger issue is that the bone is heaping POS. But if 1080 does it for you, count me in.

MasterCornholio879d ago

I dont think its a POS but it should outperform the PS4 since it costs 100$ more than it.

Its not a big deal to me but in a world where resolution seems to be considered more important than gameplay I'm sure this will turn off a lot of people.

wcas879d ago

It's not just about the resolution as much as it is about the power gap that the resolution difference points out. It takes a lot more power to push 1080P native than 720P native(upscaled to 1080P). A LOT more power.
