Friday Top 10: Worst MMO Games

Alex Cote from 3GEM writes: 'Some people didn’t understand why some games did not make the list. I understand that this Worst MMO list will not make some of you happy, but keep in mind that what you might consider the best is not necessarily the case for others. This is opinion-based, so strap yourself in – we might experience some turbulence!' (Age of Conan, Guild Wars, Marvel Heroes, PC, Star Wars:The Old Republic, World of Warcraft)

WHAT?! WoW and Old Republic are great...

Wow, SWTOR and Guild Wars2 are the best out there atm.

I have played almost every AAA paid mmo that ever existed and this list fails my intellect big time.

Majority of those on that list have their flaws but they are not the worst MMOs. I have seen plenty generic mmos, P2W mmos and grind fest mmos that are 10-100x worse than any of those on that list.

Awful article.

You're gonna try to put WoW on this list meanwhile it has been the most successful MMO to date and is still at a very strong 7.8(ish) MILLION subs. And no i don't care about your reasoning for putting WoW on the list a good game is a good game. It's not their fault people cant make anything that is better.

SWTOR was a fine MMO to play. The class quests and voice acting were top notch, and if you actually tried to do the raiding at endgame they were very fun with some very different bosses from MMO's that i have seen. People dont even try to be subtle that they are looking for hits anymore.

Edit: Re-read it, at the bottom he even says "I am sure that, by now, some of you are very disappointed with this list or at least very angry with my choices." Smooth...

Having opinions is fine and dandy but attempting to claim that the majority of these games are even close to a worst 10 list is laughable, not just because of my opinion, but because as an experienced gamer I can give a fair comparison to nearly a hundred other MMO's.

Knowing when a game is bad or you simply don't enjoy it requires a level of experience that I feel the author lacks. I can respect when someone likes a game that I know to be mechanically solid, well written, and has millions of players enjoying it. It doesn't mean I have to like it myself, but I'm also not going to claim that it is a poor game because of my opinion.

The author on the other hand seems to throw merit out the window and uses his personal feelings to equate things as "bad."

I regret giving this article a hit

This is complete troll bait. These must be the only MMOs the author has ever even played. Obviously he did not go and download any MMOs from Japan or Korea which have some real stinkers in there.
Picking on WoW, the MOST SUCCESSFUL COMPUTER GAME IN HISTORY was just over the top. Give this article a miss.
