Pokémon X and Pokémon Y’s Dedenne Featured In Super Smash Bros.

What a shocking reveal!

Yesterday, Super Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai shared an in-game development image from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. At first glance, it appeared as if the weird and quirky Waluigi would be filling an empty slot on the playable character roster. Many surprised fans discovered this wasn’t the case. Instead, Waluigi returns from Super Smash Bros. Brawl — as an Assist Trophy.

Today, Sakurai-san shares another image: Electric/Fairy-type Pokémon Dedenne — from 3DS titles Pokémon X and Pokémon Y — vividly popping out from a Poké Ball. The creative director also left fans with the following message via Miiverse post.

"Dedenne’s hard at work too." (3DS, Pokemon X and Y, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Wii U)

How fairy shocking.

"Dedenne" looks so much like "dead end," I'm surprised it's not a ghost Pokemon or something.
