Rayman Legends Xbox One Review | Capsule Computers

Editor Joe Morgan writes,

"Originally set to be an exclusive release for the Wii U, Rayman Legends is a follow-up to 2011′s critically acclaimed 2-D platformer, Rayman Origins. The game received numerous delays on the Wii U, ultimately dropping for last gen consoles and, recently, receiving a release for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Can Legends reach the high marks set by its predecessor?" (PS4, Rayman Legends, Xbox One) 9.5/10

Rayman is great, but I am still a bit annoyed with how often Ubisoft delay things.

If this had remained a Wii U exclusive, the Wii U may not have been quite the lame duck it turned out to be, in terms of sales.

I don't quite agree with that as Rayman is never going to be a system seller. To the hardcore market, the gameplay is solid gold. To us, that is. To outsiders that buy Nintendo products such as parents, he is just another cartoon for their kids, with no true weight compared to Mario, Zelda, ect.

If Mario 3D world and windwaker didnt save it, i dont think Rayman would have made much difference :(

Only reason i son't get this yet is the price. It's like 45bucks for a 2-d platformer? Ot's not even a new realese. I could get it off of steam for less than half the price! :-/

For a console release, $40 is considered a bargain price. It's a huge game for the price, too. I've paid $65 for much less game.

Just because it's a 2-D platformer doesn't mean it's worth less than another form of game. It's really a great game!

Well, getting it off of steam for half the price makes the console edition seem redundant. I'll buy it there or wait for a discount.
