Ground Zeroes: Did We Really Need An Intro To Phantom Pain?

Konami has said many times that Ground Zeroes is designed to "ease players into a new MGS world." But if you think about it, that doesn't make much sense. (Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I honestly think they would have been better off just including Ground Zeroes with Phantom Pain when it releases.

Yeah, like they did with the tanker mission from MGS2 and the virtuous mission from MGS3. Prologues should be part of the main package. Even though MGS5 is completely different from the other MGS games, a simple tutorial would be enough to get players to understand the new mechanics.

agreed.
heres hoping they give a discount for mgsv to players who buy gz. kinda like cod/bf4/ac4 did with the upgrade system. that would take the sting of a $40(at most) buy of a intro. say if you pay 40 you get mgsv for an additional 30...or something like that.

Yes we did, but it shouldn't have been sold separately to make them more money.

Not for $40

Screw that, include the prologue with the main package. If the fans cant wait then screw them!!! it isn't like there are millions of others stealth games out there that can easily replace MGS because of not releasing this year.

Get over it! Tt will be finished, when its finished!

Well I'm really happy that I get to play MGS so early on my PS4 so screw you too ;)
WitWolfy  +   296d ago
NO NO NO NO.. Screw you!!! lol just joking

Good for you I'll get it for my JTAG not paying $40 for a demo :)

I hope they include Ground Zeros as part of the Phantom Pain anyway. That way people who hold out for the full release don't miss out on the prologue.

But I gotta say I agree with zod. I'm stoked we get to play a sneaky peek ahead of the full game. The price is a little steep, but you don't HAVE to buy it.

It also give Hideo an excellent opportunity to gather some feed back from fans. He can use this info to improve/tweak the Phantom Pain if there are any major gripes or problems with Ground Zeros.

People can keep complaining about the price but ive waited 6 years for another MGS...

So i guess im trying to say....

Kojima please take my money XD

Of course not, doný forget that initially GZ was going to be on the same disc than TPP, until they decided to do it stand alone

A man wishes they would have just put it all in the main game. That way they could have a meatier story and the FULL impact would be then rather than diminshed by spreading out the new features over 2 games.

Aside from pricing, I enjoy the gesture that they feel like they want to give us something to have to play before the main game releases.
