Battlefield 4 Second Assault Content Dropped for Today

Gadgetgyaan: Electronic Arts had revealed earlier that the Second Assault for Battlefield 4 will be available on February 18 but now they have changed their minds and the premium user will get this on this day while the non-premium users will get it in March. (Battlefield 4, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

That's cool. Personally I can't play BF4 at all as the 'deploy' button (and whole of the screen) are unresponsive, but it's cool for the people that bought Premium and are still able to play the game.

It's amazing how much more stable and reliable the Titanfall beta was over the live & established BF4.

Respawn had the decency to realise the game needed live tests to effectively see what was broken pre-release.

DICE on the other hand were beaten with bamboo sticks to release the game in time for the next gen console release. Who needs testing...

Considering we haven't seen anything from respawn(formerly infinity ward) since modern warfare 2 I would hope whatever they released would work.

Hope, yes. Expect? Personally I expected teething problems.

Titanfall had it's launch date brought forwards by EA to fit a launch window they liked. It is also pretty much being used as a testbed and flagship for XBox Live's dynamic server hosting (I have to say 'dynamic server hosting' because if you say 'cloud' people get the shakes).

Some problems were always likely, and indeed there were some but they were worked through very quickly.

BF4 still seems to be picking up new ones. In my case it's related to punkbuster and I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of it, but gees it's a bit of a joke.

Both outstanding games in their own ways though.
