Beyond Two Souls – Is It Really a Video Game?

The Late Night Gamer: After an intense roller coaster of emotions while playing Beyond: Two Souls, I left the experience wondering if it really was a video game I just played. As I think more about Beyond: Two Souls, it seems to be more of a movie rather than a game. The storyline is linear and the gameplay is minimal, along with starring two A-list actors, William Dafoe and Ellen Page, Beyond just seems to be a blockbuster. (Beyond: Two Souls, PS3)

Here we go again....

It has game mechanics, it's on a game console, you use a controller to play it, you are in control of what is happening the majority of the time and it has outcomes based on the choices you make.

It's the same as asking if a "point and click adventure" is a game. Leave it to rest, it's been done to death.
