Watch_Dogs is the next Assassins Creed?

Jamie Richards' interesting theory on Ubisoft's upcoming title being a follow up to the famous Assassins Creed franchise. (Next-Gen, PS3, PS4, Watch Dogs, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Dead link...

But, before I even read the story, I'd have to agree. If Ubisoft does this it would be an awesome way to bridge between two IPs and refresh the AC series.

They could do so much with having a series of games in the past and a series of games in the future - that are connected to one another.

The real question becomes: Will the Animus be available in any of the Watch Dogs titles moving forward? That's when peoples brains will begin to melt.

The Liberation HD demo was the 1st time I ever tried an Assassin Creed game and its awful.

It seems the games plays for me. Is that how all AC games are?

It is not the best game to star the series with. AC2 or AC4 are the best ones. I finished AC4 and I can't play Liberations as it is so much a step back.

You literally tried the worst example of the series but ok.

That is like me playing Mario Lost Levels and then declaring all Mario games must somehow suck.

I suggest you play AC4 or AC2

Ubi said there will be no modern day Assassin's Creed.

There was a nod to Watch Dogs in ACIV and it was implying that it is the same Universe but not being involed in the templar and Assassin's fight.

I fully expect to see advertising for Abstergo Entertainment in Watch Dogs.

till we finish watch dogs I won't agree that abstergo aren't/won't become the villains. Watch_dogs seems t be all about taking back control, in ac4 it clearly shows abstergo partnering with company that's invented these systems to spy on everyone the ded_sec or whatever it's called. So by extension if someone were out to take that company down and in the system- abstergo would want to assist...eliminate the problem I think. We shall see either way I REALLY want this game ffs.

I think they live in the same universe and there will always be easter eggs but no need to try to merge these two franchises... let them become their own thing. I don't want Assassin_Dogs or Watch_Creed

Okay assassin_dogs could be cool.

ugh! you can tell they're gonna milk the shit out of this with sequels to no end

How did this get approved? The link doesn't work. . .

Also this EXACT argument was written like two weeks ago with almost exactly the same headline. To the word.
