Half Life 3 Still Up On Blocks?

Half Life fans have been waiting for years for news about Half Life 3, and some are running out of patience. Some are really wondering just what the hold-up is.

Valve hasn’t said anything official, but this doesn’t stop the gossip. They talk a lot about the potential reasons for this epic delay. (Half Life 3, PC, PS4, Valve, Xbox One)

The last proper Half-Life game was HL2, which came out holiday season 2004. In fact I believe it came out the same day as Halo 2. That was a long time ago, going on 10 years. I think we would have had a new HL if they knew what to do with it, but like the article said they may have hit a dead end and maybe were not really looking to keep making HL games. I wish they would just come out and say that they have moved on.

The last proper HL game came out in 2007. Sure, it's been a long time, but people seem to be forgetting another game by Valve that was in development for 9 years with very little said about it until it was about time for release. This is how Valve works. There's nothing for them to say until it's close to release so they won't say anything.
