Video Game Trends that are Killing Gaming Originality

Dana Abercrombie of DualShockers writes:

In 2013 alone, 525 video games were released across all platforms and this year it’s expected to be even more with the new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. It’s understandable that not all games can be the most interesting or innovative. Similarities are bound to happen. But what happens when originality starts to go completely out of the window and games just become one and the same? Unfortunately this trend is becoming more and more common as the years progress. I’m going to break down how five gaming trends that are completely destroying the beautiful gift of originality. (3DS, Batman: Arkham Origins, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Fallout, Mean Girls, PC, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PSP, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I agree with everything, except the crowd sourcing.
