Star Wars HQ discusses Star Wars Battlefront's cockpit view, the immersion of 1st person, and how it should take inspiration from the upcoming game Star Citizen. Also, Ryan gives his opinion about the release date and discusses space warfare.
this was hand down one of my favorite franchises whenever it was in its hayday. so glad they brought it back. cant wait to experience it all over with next gen graphics.
Unless they make this an epic FPS / Flight Combat Simulator / RPG / Adventure / etc. I'd rather wait for Star Citizen. Really hyped up for that game. More so than all others currently making headlines.
I really hated it in BF2 when there was no cockpit view. Having one really kept me immersed in the game. Hopefully BF3 will have awesome ones so I can fly about in space like a badass.
The idea of entering a spaceship's cockpit and witnessing all of that happening is a fantastic idea. For single player alone though. With multiplayer, especially if it's going to be 15 minute battles. You don't want to spend 30 seconds getting into your ship really slowly haha. Being able to view the cockpit while you're flying would be good however. I really hope single player is more open ended or has RPG elements and such. So stoked for this game though, I've waited so long. I hope to god it's a third person shooter first and an fps second. I'll be heavily disappointed if it's not. I don't like the way that EA representative said the fans liked the direction they are going with it. Everyone was cheering and excited because it was a new Battlefront game. Not because the teaser was in first person. F***. 0:52 I just imagine EA acting like this (RIP Rare though) http://youtu.be/tfaN267lI_Y
pc innovation trickle down at work
If DICE is making the game, there will probably be no vehicle enter animation or exit animation Also, the developers for this battlefront are the guys who made the newer medal of honors, so you can get a sense of what kind of quality they are capable of
so basically they gonna copy everything from star citizen
