@djplonker "The next minecraft is out there and sony is looking its great to see them being activelike this! Its funny how the xbots go on about indies while contantly having minecraft in the top 5 games played on xbox live XD" 100% Exactly, many i think are looking as indies are nothing more than "cheap cellphone" games. But what is ironic, is if you look at what Hardware that is inside Smartphone's and Tablet's can Handle far more advanced game engine's that frankly 18 years ago would have only been desk top GPU's would have been able to handle! Now many say this is not 18 years ago, which is true this is 2014, but what many fail to i think understand if they really stop to think about it is. that as Game console's have developed to now, chips for smartphones from 2000 to now have far exceeded what they were able to do than what was the peak of that back than really was for desktop's Only, Now what was only really capable for desktop GPU chips that are now inside your smartphone and Tablet. That may not seem like much, but it really is. A communication devices is able to handle advanced gaming that 10 to 15 years ago the GPU that went into AGP slot the Desktop GPU's in PC's are now directly on the die of a smartphone and tablet! That seem old but take a look now: http://www.nvidia.com/conte... OpenGL4.4, DirectX 11.2 , CUDA 6 Look at page 8 a mobile GPU IS ABLE TO HANDLE ADVANCED GAME ENGINE'S THAT A DESKTOP GPU is able to handle! Now of course it cannot out perform that desktop GPU, but it can outdo some desktop GPU's from a few years back and this chip set is inside a device that was designed for a communication device first. Fantastic in my opinion to see this advancement in mobile chips, and the developer's that are indie are where the most developer's are right now when a game like candy crush just on iOS in north america region is making over $800,000.00 a single day just on one platform and only counting one region. Maybe sony actively recruiting indies for putting those talents to good use and making even better games and investing into those developer's are a very prudent investment, because that is where the next AAA development budget iP's tool talent will be for making those high budget games will be.
