Bayonetta is Coming to the WiiU in 2014

As we’re using this post to touch base with our fans, why don’t we take a little time discussing what the “2” in our new Bayonetta means. It’s a sequel: we’ve taken the characters, story, and gameplay of the original and built upon them.

In addition to the original’s gameplay system—dodging at the last minute to perform Witch Time, saving up your Magic Gauge to use Torture Attacks—Bayonetta 2 includes a new feature called Umbran Climax. Now saving your Magic Gauge also gives you the option to unleash a combo made of successive Wicked Weave and Infernal Demon summons. This wide-ranged attack can effectively give you free rein over the battlefield.

Cool in Wii U 1080p 60FPS yeah!

hated_individual1435d ago

We don't know if its 1080P...

We only know that its 60FPS.

Realplaya1435d ago

It doesn't look 1080p to you.

So, the next time people bring up ports being worse on the Wii U, just direct them to this video. If a port is poor, it isn't because of Wii U's hardware... PROOF!

This looks mind blowing at solid 60FPS.

Also - take a look at the alternative sources I added at the top if you are on a desktop with high-speed internet.

I agree Bayonetta 2 looked amazing from the video the showed yesterday I also thought X looked good too.

People on here talk a lot about power but power dose not = good graphics and game play.

Still let down we haven't got a solid release date. I am looking an excuse to by a WiiU and there are some games I do want to get that are out now, like Pikmin, Wind Waker HD, Wonderful 101. But as soon as Bayonetta 2 gets a release date I will be pre ordering that game along with the machine :D

@fossilfern I have all them games and enjoyed them all. I do think the WiiU is very under rated console. I have an xbox one too but loving my Wiiu a lot more than I thought I would. Great time to own both Nintendo consoles.

I'll wait for the ultimate edition on 360 and PS3 maybe next year

deafdani1435d ago

An "Ultimate Edition" could possibly come for other consoles, yes... but seeing how it's published by Nintendo, it's pretty unlikely you would see it as soon as next year.

The first Mass Effect was published by Microsoft, and it took about 4 or 5 years before it was available for PS3 under a different publisher.

Bayonetta 2 is fully funded and published by Nintendo.

Chances of you having Bayonetta 2 on your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 are the same as seeing Zelda or Mario on your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 which is an absolute zero.

Platinum Games asked Sega to fund Bayonetta 2 and they denied, then they asked Microsoft and they denied then finally they asked Sony and they got denied again. Nintendo jumped in and agreed to fund Bayonetta 2, if Nintendo didn't fund Bayonetta 2 then Bayonetta 2 would not exist in the first place.

Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 can't handle Bayonetta 2, these two consoles don't have enough RAM for high definition textures to store let alone enough memory/bandwidth for GPU to store and execute various DirectX 11 a like effects.

It is like saying Dead Rising 3 or Killzone:Shadow Fall will have Ultimate Edition on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. This is simply not happening...

That is sad reality, at least for you.
