During yesterday's Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata revealed one of the strangest games on the way to the 3DS eShop. Given the odd concept the free to play Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball seems built around, it would be weird in whatever space it inhabited, but it’s also a baseball game. As stated by Iwata in the announcement, “Rusty Slugger, an ex-pro baseball player, and dog, owns a sporting goods shack. There, he offers a variety of baseball mini-games for sale, themed around the simple pleasures of baseball. Players can experience the feeling of hitting, the feeling of pitching, the feeling of catching and even the feeling umpiring.” A lot of emphasis seemed to be put on how things would “feel” and recreating the “good feeling” of baseball.
