Step one in improving Sonic the Hedgehog: 2014 edition

MMGN: Every time a new Sonic game is announced, we must inevitably discuss how to ‘fix’ Sonic. This is written into the game journalism by-laws, carved in stone by the elders and the key holders of our profession in ancient times (2003 or so), and far be it from me to disobey our sacred rules. The same things are said every time – put the focus on Sonic, make it all about speed, tighten up the controls, don’t let the game play itself for long periods of time, and make it 2D again. The various Sonic games over the years have dabbled in these solutions with varying degrees of success (Generations warmed a lot of hearts, but for my money Sonic Colours on the Wii did it better).

The story is too old to be commented.
