Sorry i have to disagree, i feel it is for "noobs" that need that extra advantage. It seems it would make you lazy instead of trying to apply and extend your skill. Just my thought, who knows im a idiot.

Honestly, the only way to really "apply and extend your skill" on the current controller would be to just use the claw grip. Unfortunately, it's not very natural and can seriously cramp your hand. (Sorry, I sound like a commercial.)

Other than that, there is no physical way to jump and aim at the same time in games like Call of Duty or Battlefield, for example, so the additional paddles help in that regard.

Is it unfair? Maybe. But for the sake of comfort, even as a non-pro, casual gamer, I find it appealing.

Again as my first statement you want the upperhand. I would own you and your Scuf controller in Bf. Usually it is Cod noobs that like the Scuf controllers. Its about having more intelligence then then opponent, i can jump and then immediately aim afterwards. Usually slow reacting people need scuf controllers.

Again last statement you find it appealing cause you think it gives you the edge against noobs, which whatever floats your boat.

In competitive CoD you either use a scuf or play claw, both give the same advantage and a scuf won't ruin your hand. They are pretty necessary in top tier games against other ams and pros, not just giving an advantage against noobs.
Scuf was originally created to stop pro players from ruining their right hand with claw.

Of course the controller doesn't make the player, strategy and reaction is a major part, but in tournament play, you can be easily outclassed in a lot of situations without a scuf or claw

Invite me to a BF4 game and we will see. Again as i said, COD noobs use scuf, cause that's what everyone does. Funny your claw players still outplay scuf players.

My PSn is Str8trashin

its personal preference a controller is not going to make anyone beat anyone its all about comfort nothing to do with being a noob you sound like the kids that play fighters and say you only one because of the arcade stick well who is the dummy that decided to make their life hard?

I never said claw outperforms scuf, they give the same advantage. I play claw and will get a scuf once the next competitive console is decided. I can see a scuf may not be as useful in BF, but in CoD, being able to aim and press any button can be crucial. You just seem to consider anyone who plays COD a noob.

@USA007

I know you didnt say claw outperforms scuf. But it does by most of your top COD killers in competitive.

What do you mean? Pretty much all the top teams use scuf controllers. Complexity won Columbus and philly with scuf. I believe the number is about 80% of cod pros use a scuf. Claw and scuf give the same advantages, scuf is just a lot easier on your hands.
