These headsets won't work with Xbox One's adapter

The Xbox One's newly announced headset adapter will not work with the Tritton Warhead, Tritton Primer, Xbox 360 Wireless and Xbox 360 Wireless Bluetooth headsets, according to the Xbox support page.

The story is too old to be commented.

Good to know. Thank you.

And they couldn't have just made the audio jack 3.5mm on the controller in the first place because.....well, because...your money.

It's just annoying how MS designs things with a flaw and then sell you the solution. It's frustrating that they haven't changed this practice in over 10 years.

This reminds of that shit they did with the 360's HDMI adapter. They intentionally made the plastic enclosing fat so you can't use HDMI when you're using the packed in AV cable, forcing you to spend extra on yet another adapter.

I'm just glad that right now, I don't feel the need to have an Xbox One, hopefully never, Same for the DVD playback kit for the original Xbox. STOOOOOOPID

$25 for a wire is f'n ridiculous. I laughed.

How do you figure they intentionally designed the av cable to be fat so you have to buy the hdmi av adapter when the 360 originally wasn't even designed with an hdmi port? And if I remember correctly MS included the adapter with the hdmi cable anyway.

Common practice for them. Look at windows 8. If you want a start bar ms will sell you one with the upgrade to windows 8.1.

with things like that, yet people can argue it being a "better" controller. pfft...

Ziriux1616d ago

Of course this would happen, in an era where accessories is what helps get back the losses in console manufacturing I'm not surprised their not compatible.

XiSasukeUchiha1616d ago

Yep just another way to buy the newest headset i suppose!

All the console makers need to bring in extra revenue from somewhere.

I'm thinking of ordering the Titanfall Exclusive headset, looks awesome. I will say, the XB1 is less than three months old and it's ALREADY been worth every penny. I have that thing on all day everyday and there's always something to do. No wonder it's selling so many games per console. It's been a very successful launch so far, and the future looks even brighter. In fact for both consoles, this has been a really good launch so far...bugs here and there, but no real major issues. I'm really happy I grabbed an XB1, it was a good choice. I don't work for MS :) I'm just happy with my purchase is all.

@neocores ...Nope, I just noticed that this site had gotten TOO caught up in negativity and trying to tell other people they were stupid for having fun differently (as you can see by the fact that I got a disagree already from simply saying I enjoy the XB1)...and I admit I got caught up in the drama at I'm trying to change that, by spreading good news and junk (even though I admit since it's so rare it sounds like a stupid infomercial).

Wow bro calm down do you go around copying and pasting this every where you go lol?

I'd rather hear his personal experience written out well rather than that one kid posting "Ps4 is the future and the future is Ps4" every time he says something...

Can anyone confirm whether Astro 40s will be compatible with these adapters?

I'm assuming yes.
