How to Improve the Playstation 4

OnlySP: As the dust from the launch of the new consoles settles, we begin to see a few of the intrinsic problems that come with new gaming hardware. We’ve seen the launch games, some of the new features and more new ideas that the new consoles present. However, there are still many things that these consoles can improve on. While each console has its own unique issues, I will be focusing on the PlayStation 4 and its flaws. From yet unimplemented features, to some ideas on how to improve the user interface and more, I will propose a few ideas on how the PS4 can improve its already sound base of a powerful machine. There is an insanely high number of areas the PS4 could improve. So many missing features that were available last gen.

But with a fair/good start.. its only up from here.

Definitely a good start so far. Not a big fan of the dashboard so far though. I have both systems and both could use some more customization features for their dashboards. I like being able to move things where I want them to be and have more organization.

It's miles better than the ps3 man, a VAST improvement!
Prefer xb1 dash though, as strange as it sounds, I actually like windows 8, I also have a windows 8 smart phone, which is awesome, and it's where the tiles set up really shines.

I agree. As with last gen though, updates will come to improve things over time as per usual. Surprised at some of the features not available right from the start though, especially the party features on both consoles. With such a focus on playing with friends and online etc, you'd think more focus would have been put there.

PS4 Track records over 9000!
Not really many flaws either but they can improve on it and make it better

There should be purchasable themes and avatars like the PlayStation 3 & custom backgrounds images + customization options for the main menu and profiles....i'm getting bored with this interface, but i'm confident that Sony will add these features soon.

Ugh. I just had this fanboyish thought: "It doesn't NEED to be improved!" Yes mind, it does. Dashboards, for example. Sony has never been good with them. Would it hurt to follow in the Xbox's footsteps and give us customizable Avatars INSTEAD of Twitter?
