Wow, time sure flies. I remember how excited I was when this game was first released.

All of a sudden I feel old. :(

Feels like yesterday that I was being blown away with the demo which showcased the SeeD exam. Definitely makes me feel old to think that was like 15 years ago.

To think I was 8 years old and even remember begging my mum to get it for me on release. I got it by the way :-D

be happy that you started gaming from the beginning of it and witnessed the evolution of it.

It's amazing how well the pre-rendered backgrounds hold up, 15 years later. Even the character models don't look THAT bad on a Vita.

Still my favourite FF soundtrack. Balamb Garden, Fisherman's Horizon... ahhhh memories

Liberali Fatali in the opening battle with Seifer... incredible.

Also I think Triple Triad is my favourite FF minigame

............... I feel so old.

edit: Is anyone wanting a new Jet Moto made by the motorstorm devs?

So strange, this is the first FF I ever beat from start till finish and I barely remember anything about it beyond the card game, the dance scene, battling and the ending. FF9 was much more memorable for some reason. :/

The game was kind of disappointing following VI and VII, to be honest. IX was a return to form, I would say the best of the PSX games, but after IX it's been all downhill. You could argue it's been pretty much downhill since VIII, as while IX was good, it was really just a return to form rather than any kind of forward step for the series. It was sadly the last great or classic FF game as well. I know a lot of people like X, but that game turned me off in a lot of ways. It has a lot of similarities to XIII (barring the far superior battle system in X), which people tend to ignore when they praise FFX and lament the series following XIII. I thought XII was a great direction for the series gameplay wise, and the more mature plot was refreshing, but people cried about it and wanted something more like X. Well, you got it.
