Become the Owner of Flappy Bird for Just $90,000

Hardcore Gamer: When the shocking news broke that Flappy Bird would be removed from the app store in just two days, the collective gaming world broke out in tears. No longer would our beloved Super Mario-ish clone be available to monopolize moments in our life that would somehow be worse without Flappy Bird. But all is not lost. (Flappy Bird, iPhone)

Fake bids. No body dumb enough to pay that.
BitbyDeath  +   413d ago
It was earning $54,000 a day.
$90,000 is cheap.

Edit: Just saw someone say below it isn't to own the game. WTH?

iGAM3R-VIII  +   412d ago
Just saw another post on N4G with another sale of a phone with flappy bird pre installed. I guess I should sell my iPod for 40k and then yea. Not a bad idea.
SilentNegotiator  +   412d ago
There are a bunch of other listings with ZERO bids, so obviously this is just trolls.
crxss  +   413d ago
Thought it was $90,000 to buy the ip, now that would have been super cheap
admiralvic  +   413d ago
I did too, but quickly realized it was not and edited my post. ^^;;
NeoTribe  +   413d ago
Why not? You realise it was making 50k a day roughly right?
BadlyPackedKeebab  +   412d ago
SappyTurd ( http://www.jabba.tv/sappytu... are only asking $55,000!
LogicLee  +   413d ago
I'd pay double that. I can't leave my score at 6.
sourav93  +   413d ago
Can you not continue playing if you had downloaded it before it was taken down? I can still play it on android. Dunno about iOS.
Downserj  +   413d ago
Though you're joking about really paying that, I do think it's funny how stupid people can be that would pay anywhere near that much money.

Millions of people probably downloaded that game when it was available, and we are still able to play it whenever we want.

Even if you do lose it somehow, or didn't get it and want to see what all the fuss was about, there are tons of other free clones to download instead... and surely more to come now.

If you still want the original Flappy Bird, for android at least, I'm sure there will be an .apk file put up on the internet for those who want to look.
iiorestesii  +   412d ago
No worries. A six is average. It could be worse.
ziggurcat  +   413d ago
There is seriously something wrong with people if they're willing to spend that much on a cellphone game.
Prototype_79L  +   413d ago
I dont understand the hype around this cr@ppy game, Jetpack Joyride has a much more to offer, the concept is the same, better graphics, upgrades, missions, ftp.
LightningMokey  +   413d ago
Cosidering he made 50K a day... id say thats more than fair. If I had that much id buy it. And ive never played it.
admiralvic  +   413d ago
It isn't for the IP, but a phone with the game on it.
LightningMokey  +   412d ago
Ah my bad thanks.
MegaRay  +   413d ago
Dammit.... if I only has that much.
Oh now ill have to do it the hard way...

I thought it meant own the actual IP which is racking in over $50,000 a day, but apparently it's just to be one of the 30 million owners of the game itself.
nirwanda  +   413d ago
Surely even though he has removed the game he will still make money from in game ads.
Does anyone else think this is a PR stunt to get lots of people playing and seeing the ads.
RoyalLance  +   413d ago
Somebody wants to play that game badly. Glad it's on my phone now.
MoveTheGlow  +   412d ago
It's like no one remembers that Chopper existed.
LAWSON72  +   412d ago
Stop covering this garbage. It is just a bunch of trolling
jgrigs09  +   412d ago
Not sUre if that's not the real owner whose selling it or just a troll. But it does make since to buy it. The game made $50,000 a day off ad revenue. Think about it pay 90thousand for the game. Then gain money that money back in two days.

I still have flappy bird on my computer and I can copy it to my iPhone whenever I want. No big deal. It's not like the game stopped working now that it's not on the App Store.
