The highly-anticipated Minecraft Film's kickstarter campaign has been removed.
After all, a man should be creative and not use ideas of others for his own gain ... :X .. Minecraft is minecraft .. but a Minecraft movie?? Come on .. This is no lego-land .. :D :D :D
I think it would make a decent movie, you have variety, a villain(ender dragon thing), a quest/goal(find the Ender gate etc. Wreck it Ralph worked well, Minecraft could be done well I think. All they gotta do is make some characters, set up the story to have them being scared at night or something and killing the ender dragon is how to get rid of the Endermen/Monsters or some ****. They could make a character out of the creeper alone and make him turn good or something. I think of alot of stories that could be made from it.
Sounds like a children's book by M. Night Shyamalan.
Kickstarter is so full of foolhardy amateurs. Over half a million for a project that you didn't get permission from the owners to use? Really? Reminds me of that board game that was full of game pieces based on other person's IPs that got canned ( https://www.kickstarter.com... ). Look at that crap; they got people to give them $122K to slap Cthulhu on a monopoly board without getting ANYONE's permission.
I bet if a minecraft movie actually was released, the whole movie theater would smell like sweat and diapers on the first day
Guess the legal issues...CREEPED up on them http://www.youtube.com/watc... ... ... No?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! i get it!
A Minecraft movie? Sounds very complicated.
Isnt there already a Minecraft movie I could of swore I watched it not to long ago. It was pretty good too. I looked into this and they wanted $600k without actually trying to get permission they kind of had it coming
I think you're thinking of Iron Man 3...
http://www.ign.com/articles... Nope there is a free documentary, and now that I read this it is not a documentary but an actual movie.
They could change the name slightly, change the green creeper to another color and put it out. No one owns low resolution blocks or axes. I say just do that.
I'm sorry it seemed like a pretty ambitious movie why ruin it for a license that's so easy to sidestep? Could you tell me why I'd delete it?
The many low resolution block and axe building apps on the Play Store and App Store are evidence to this statement.
@smashbros I meant my post, it was an error and a reply to the wrong post lol
Oh. My bad.
So without notch's permission they tried to get 600k $? That's just stupid. You shouldn't just take other people's ideas and steal them to make your life easier. Do something creative and good.
Could have worked a deal out? No? I mean its not like Notch and his crew are not already sitting on millions right now..... Not saying I disagree with the issue at hand. They should have gained permission, but overall don't see why a deal couldn't be made? Plus the guy could have been smart too. Take Minecraft out of the name and inspiration, calling it a "8 bit world" instead.....
The trailer looked retarded.
