Capcom's financial report for the last nine months of 2013 are now in, and while numbers are solid, they do not match up to those in 2012.
It should be Monster Hunter 4, and dang, Capcom, how will their mobile games division save them?
Fixed haha, and I hope Capcom doesn't focus on their mobile division.
If only Nintendo didn't buy the rights to Monster Hunter for like 4 titles or w/e they did. Hope next ones return back to Sony so they can sell tons on PS4 / Vita.
Monster hunter doesn't really have the type of story ps3 4 gamers would like. It is more about game play. Tlou is what you guys want. Killzone, uncharted and movie gaming. That is going to kill this industry.
It sold 4 mil alone in japan, so that's not good? Spending money on an expensive game like Deep Down is what will continue to hurt Capcoms profits! Make a proper MegaMan game already, that's what the fans want.
that was by far the most sony fanboy comment i ever herd well one of them atleast i agree with scissor_runner
Well Capcom, do not release games like Resident Evil 6, I am sure they lost money on that POS, and make another one like 4, and I bet you will do much better. Resident Evil 1 on Gamecube and on Wii are the BEST
Dinn't RE 6 Sold 5.6 Millions ? (Third Place) http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/... ( i don't talk RE 6 Quality)
It undersold their expectations, considering this was a game jointly developed by all three branches of Capcom (US, EU, JPN). They spent quite a lot of money on this title.
It cannot get my head round why they don't launch monster hunter to more platforms instead of wii ( where sales are tailing off) and wiiu where there is only a small user base. Lost planet has only a small fan base and they can't keep releasing the same street fighter over and over
I agree, I am big monster hunter fan and they have always been kind of odd with their mh release choices. Its one of the great capcom mysterys :)
Actually sounds pretty good if you read the article and not just the headline.. over a million sales for DR3, well done Capcom.
MILKING FRANCHISES, UNNESSARY REBOOTS, NOT USING OTHER POPULAR FRANCHISES, NOT LISTENING TO FANS, MILKING FANS AND COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH CEOs this is what you get capcom
Last game I bought from them was street fighter 4 Been disappointed with capcom since than They should really release monster hunter on ps4 and xbone
Been disappointed since RE5
Give us a proper DMC5 and you'll see profits. They will need one heck of a team though.
If I were Capcom, I would cast aside my stubbornness and hire Platinum games to develop DMC5.
I'm glad dr3 sold well because its leaps and bounds above 1 & 2 and deserves to be played by the masses. The rest of those games not so Much.
Capcom is a very healthy company......
Capcom, what happened?!? Capcom is like seeing your first girlfriend after 15 years....things were great at the beginning, but damn, time and bad choices had their toll.
Don't blame the Nintendo consoles. MH$ for the 3ds didn't cost much to make and they moved units. Wii U same thing.
They should have port MH4 to Vita if they want more profits
Depends on the exclusivity deal Capcom made with Nintendo.
Capcom : ask nintendo
Ever since they canceled Megaman Legends 3, I have not bought a single Capcom game and bad news about Capcom fills me with a truly wondrous joy.
That is nice ...Capcom learn your lesson and release MHon for other consoles (PSvita specifically) too ..also correct RE, DMC franchisse and make a proper Dragons Dogma sequel game (sequel , spin off what ever you want but a proper game not crap like that one on PSVita)
'However, sales for Lost Planet 3 did not perform to expectations, which Capcom explains as being "due in part to intensifying competition in the European and North American markets."'. I think it was more due to the fact that it sucked, and they removed most of what fans of Lost Planet 2 liked.
no megaman no, onimusha deal with it
Hurry up and die already capcom. Once your games are in the hands of a competent developer I might be able to start buying them again.
