Splitkick: Stories like this call my integrity in question, when my integrity was sort of already in question. That isn’t good for consumers, that isn’t good for journalists, and that isn’t good for video games.
This has nothing to do with journalists, so does that mean your integrity is in further question?
As I have said before, if you just take someone else's word without doing your own research you are a sheep. PS your desperation is laughable, you are trying to keep it fresh, where was this article when the news dropped.
Except between what MS and Machinima, EA with Dungeon Keeper for that matter, did, it could become impossible to make a proper judgment on a game until after its bought.
so true...i actually unsubscribed from mechinima them after i learned of this. i used to laugh at the simi bias and misinformation "mistakes" (like saying repeatedly the ps cam for ps4 was $100). now i see it may have been on purpose and that in itself rubs me the wrong way. i
Why cant we read and talk about this problem a couple of weeks later? I'm sorry you have the attention span of a gnat, but this still needs to be discussed.
Unfortunately for you truefan, this could get even fresher. This ain't over by a long stretch.
Who creates things that you research, though? People. And who can you trust anymore?
Greed the oldest sin in the book, and one of our most primitive instincts. That childish like reflex to have what others have and to want more and more will eventually end our world even though we were warned "just sad". Mine mine mine give me more.
Greed ends people's worlds daily. It will get far worse before it ever gets better.
Right on the head of the nail. Sad, but true. +well said "Gimme gimme gimme gimme I need more I need more Gimme gimme gimme gimme Don't ask what for Don't ask what for Sitting here like a loaded gun Waiting to go off I've got nothing to do But shoot my mouth off..." -A Perfect Circle
I miss the old Machinima, excitingly waiting for the next episode of Matchmaking, Pre-game lobby, Arby n Chief etc. All these brilliant shows, gone. Machinima is a shell of its former self.
This calls in to question every single game site that does reviews on games including the ones on youtube. Sad day for gamers who can't even get an honest review of a game and the different platforms it runs on.
Did you see some of the reviews on Machinima. Those guys were lying through their teeth. I knew they were paid even before any of this feces hit the fan. Never trust them again.
^^^ this. If anyone thought machinima was unbiased and not taking money, you might as well keep watching those reviews
Wait so does that mean you'll never trust Sony again for creating those fake "fan sites" wither their positive impressions of the PSP? http://www.theinquirer.net/... I'm not defending this practice but let's be honest the only reason this has blown to gigantic proportions is because it's Microsoft...
Because the dirty tricks been going on for years. Gamers deserve not to be lied to
Because it doesn't, it's just something that fanboys wouldn't care about if it went the other way...in fact it'd be herald as a "genius move by Sony". The only reason it "matters" is that it shows how much fanboys want to troll MS by re-hashing a story that isn't a story at all.
Imagine if micro used there money on original ips instead of bribes, advertising, doritos and mountain dew?
