If it turns out to be 1080p 60fps more xbone fanboys will rage
GribbleGrunger  +   69d ago
It's unlikely to hit 60fps. This isn't a last generation game with better resolution and framerates thrown at it, this is a fully fledged next gen game with effects not possible on last gen hardware.

What kind of game will this be exactly? I dunno why but i thought it will be a small indie racer or something, so when i read the title i was like "huh, why wouldn't it be able to reach 60fps?".

5 agrees ... and I thought it said 'an exclusive from Ready At Dawn'. I thought it was about The Order. God I need some sleep lol. I've been up all night playing Outlast.

You Dont need sleep you just need to turn off the fanboy auto pilot.
GribbleGrunger  +   69d ago
Yes I made a mistake because I'm cream crackered but why is that a 'fanboy' statement? Don't you think the same could be said for an X1 game? Let's face it, even if I simply typed 'Sony' your blood would boil. A mirror is something you might want to look into.

just like the other 1080p/locked60fps games the PS4 has... oh wait...
MysticStrummer  +   69d ago
Yeah they should have downgraded KZ's NPCs to flat cardboard cutouts. Then maybe they could have hit those targets. Lesson learned I guess.

keeping an eye of this game, teaser trailer looked really amazing: the car model they showed....AMAZING DETAILS

I thought racing games were easy to hit 1080p, 60fps?
mmc-007  +   69d ago
that's true, don't understand why this can't hit 60fps. It looks like it can hit 60fps on a smartphone..

No matter how good the hardware is, developers always have the choice to sacrifice FPS for better visuals and other features. As long as 1080p is standard this gen, 30fps is fine in most genres.
Software_Lover  +   69d ago
That means it sucks right?

LOL at the xbox fans in here. SOUR GRAPES MUCH?

Isn't this what you complain about in xbox articles?
MasterCornholio  +   69d ago
Looks like Tomb Raider hurt them pretty badly. I mean i dont understand what their problem is since they claim that they dont care about resolution or framerate.

Edit: You know whats funny? I remember that there was a time where Xbox fans claimed that all games on the Xbox One would run at 1080P 60FPS because they thought BF4 was going to run like that. I wonder what happened?

I think what the Xbox fans are trying to get across is that anytime a game is not 60fps on the Xbox One, suddenly it's not good. Tomb Raider is a fantastic game on the XB1, it just runs better on the PS4. But that doesn't mean the game is crap because it's only 30fps instead of 60fps.

Now when a PS4 game can't run in 60 fps, the general consensus in the comments section is either 1. That the PS4 can do more 60fps games than the XB1 or the cheaper console can do what the more expensive one can't (which really means nothing when dealing with this game specifically) or 2. That only certain genres need 60fps, and while racing games generally benefit from 60fps, this game is a "true" next-gen racing game with awesome visuals, so 30fps is ok.

I don't own an XB1 so I am not defending the console in any way. Just an observation after reading all the comments.

Take it as you will.

I don't think people saying the more expensive console has less power is saying a game is bad.
Neonridr  +   69d ago
see MysticStrummer's post above:

"The point is that the cheaper console seems to have an easier time achieving certain res/fps targets than the more expensive console, not that achieving those targets makes a better game automatically."
QuickdrawMcgraw  +   69d ago
Xbox fanboys should stay away from these kinds of articles...With every AHA..They are insulting their console of choice...
Puppy_Farts  +   69d ago
I really don't give a shit if it's 30 or 60FPS, I never gave a shit about that (check my comments) - I just wanna play the game. Tired of hearin' people jack off to "fps".
sGIBMBR  +   69d ago
I think frames per second are important, but not half as important as what people on here claim.
Puppy_Farts  +   68d ago
I do agree in that they are important, and I always want the best of the best, but after seeing so many articles about it for either system - it just makes me not care anymore. I know what you're saying though. :)

If they can pull 60fps off then make that happen.
