Five Ways 14 Million Copies of Minecraft Will Change Gaming Forever

GR - Did you hear the news? Minecraft has sold more than 14 million units through to consumers since it originally became available... and that's on "the computer version" alone! If you asked anyone in the video gaming industry five years ago whether a game like Minecraft could find that kind of success, no one would have said yes. (Android, iPad, Minecraft, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

That's an impressive number of games

14m only includes the PC version. I think Minecraft is already up to 30m if you include the mobile, 360, and PS3 versions. Definitely a fantastic game and I hope more titles try to emulate the "build, break, and explore wherever you want" sort of gameplay.

I knew it was big, but I didn't know it was THAT big, dayum.

I can safely say I have put more hours in to Minecraft than any other game.

With the huge number of mod packs it never gets old. (Although would be nice if the mod API was finally developed and released)
