Continue Play's Wesley Copeland reviews the sci-fi themed MMO "Defiance" on the PS3.
"Five outfits for twenty hours of repetition doesn’t feel like a fair trade, though" That's how most MMOs tend to be. Not much clothing variety starting off. More later on through dungeons or end game stuff. 20 hours in, you're not gonna be half way through the game or through the first few starting areas. Haven't played the game since the first few months it was out (too many DCs for no reason when in the middle of outdoor events, love that server stability), but you could earn more outfits from completing achievements in the dungeons or open world, but it took a little effort to unlock them. "Alas, these are just two moments over twenty-hours. It’s simply just not acceptable by today’s standard." Play more MMOs and see if you feel the same. Using WoW (vanilla, since xp gain has been increased and dungeon levels changed) as an example, how far in were you at 20 hours that you saw epic boss battles? Not saying the game is amazing (around a 6), but at least know what you're writing about. p.s. The game has been out since last spring pretty much, the trailer on the page is from April of 2013... The article acts like it's just been released when it talks about DLC for it (the first of which took forever to actually release), about whether it was cut and sold later on... What a well informed writer.
