Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze's Dynamic 3D Camera Was Initially Slated for Returns

In the case of Retro Studios, the the dynamic 3D camera that we see used in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was a cinematic feature the development team originally had slated for Donkey Kong Country Returns. Unfortunately, to presumably avoid a delayed release by missing a deadline, the feature had to get cut out of the game before it could be implemented. (Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Wii, Wii U)
