The Score: Which Indie Game Are You Most Looking Forward to and Why?

In this week’s installment of The Score, we find out if you think GameCube games should be released on the Virtual Console or as HD remakes like The Wind Waker HD.

In addition, we ask for your thoughts on the huge line-up of indie titles heading to the Wii U and 3DS. If you need inspiration, check out the update we published this week with the current status of most of the big titles coming very soon to an eShop near you! (3DS, Indie, Wii U)

Hotline Maimi 2

Why?

Don't remember if this is coming to a Nintendo console, but Hyper Light Drifter is definitely on my radar.

Yes, as far as I know, Hyper Light Drifter met the Wii U Kickstarter goal.
And yes, it's in my radar too. Its graphics remind me of Out of this World/Heart of the Alien. But damn that soundtrack I wanna hear it so much in my living room.

Other titles I'm looking forward to (in the immediate future):
Q.U.B.E.
Teslagrad
Oddworld
Shovel Knight

Are they gonna make Gucamelee 2? I loved Guacamelee beyond words.

I dont get hyped or pay attention to indie games. I just wait to hear some great feedback from reviewers and gamers and then I get it. I have no idea what to expect and I just want to see what the big deal is.

I don't really like indies but Marasaki Baby for the Vita looks cool. And Guacamelee 2.

Indies put out different experiences that I find refreshing. I guess you must be into big AAA blockbuster games, and while they can be fun, it's incredibly refreshing to go from escaping blowing up buildings and shooting enemies to playing a simple 2D sidescroller.
